| Am I the only one here who doesn't care what Lynch has said and would rather get behind the players and the team today at Odsal?

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.: |
|
| Two things really for me. Not many people played well vs Hudds. Lynch included. Usually he is a "don't take a step backwards" type of prop but I felt for that game, he didn't commit to the collision . That should be a one-off and be sorted for today.
The T&A comments are odd. Usually after a defeat like that I would expect a piece about how they need the fans support, in attack and defence. The fans can lift the players, be the 18th man etc. Maybe the interview started like that and finished with something about some fans not understanding. I would point the finger at Connor and/or Bulls media and let Andy put things right on the field

Aye, and Eddie is hinting at it too. And, as we all know:

| Personally I do not see what the fuss is all about. He is frustrated. We all are. We say things we regret at times. The difference is that what we say is not immediately jumped on and sensationalized by the media.
I don't buy all this Captaincy lark and how he should conduct himself. He is a RL player FFS, not an Oxford graduate. Even all of us who have not played the game realise that most of our players are not overly blessed with brain cells.
As long as they do the talking on the field I will be happy.

| I think we'll see a big performance from Andy Lynch today, leading from the front. I can't defend the article because I think they were daft comments to make. But let's not crucify the guy for letting his frustrations get the better of him.
I'm sure he's a big enough man to put his hand up and say he got it wrong on this occasion. But my god we do have some drama queens on here and over on the T&A.

| Poor old Andy. Don't you feel sorry for him being booed by those nasty fans?
At best this article is naive, at worst slightly offensive.
I think he probably started out trying to get the fans behind the team, which is fair enough, but it's been done in completely the wrong way and you have to wonder who let him get into that position.
He's ended up patronising fans who are passionate and often knowledgeble about the sport which he has the privilidge of getting paid to play and I don't see how he expects to get the fans on his side by doing that. I'm not a fan of booing your team but neither do I understand why professional sportmen come out crying about it after a poor performance, especially in a local derby - you're getting paid to be out there, if you don't like it and can't handle a bit of criticism get a different job.
At the end of the day the fans pay a lot of money and give up their limited free time to support the team and if they players aren't performing they have a right to show it - it's not like the club have comments forms for you to fill in after a game asking what you thought of their performance! If they were a business rather than a sports team half of them would have ended up on the dole - 'Oh yes, I practised doing my job well but when I actually had to do it for real we didn't perform, but that's OK because it's the training that matters to the customers and if they don't believe us they can come and watch'. Sorry Andy, train as hard as you like but if you don't perform on the pitch it's all for nothing.
Maybe their missing Macca backing them regardless of performance and aren't used to being criticised?

| Right apologies if I repeat something already state but I can't be bothered reading all the previous posts. Put in in perspective, Lynchy has made a minor PR cock-up. He has been on the receiving end of booing for the last three seasons and must be sick of it. Somebody already stated if all the Bulls players had put the same effort in as Lynchy we would be in a better place.
I'm not sure if everybody realises how big a job Potter and the Team have to put things right. Potter does not have a magic wand in spite of what the publicity may have suggested. It's gonna take time and a lot of effort. We will win some and lose some, hopefully all the while learning and getting better as the Team gel. We have virtually had no playmakers for the last 4 games. When the 6 and 7 get on the same page and we find our best Loose Forward we should start to compete with the big boys. See how we look after 10 games and forgive the Skipper his "faux pas" for now.

| To my mind, Andy Lynch is so far in credit that if I was to come home and find him curling one out on my living room floor, I'd go get him the loo roll and a copy of Auto Trader. Get behind the Bulls.

| I wonder what the club thought of the article too? They seem to have a good relationship with Connor Murphy and this particular article didn't quite come across too well (although Lynchy has to take some/most of the blame for this).
Lynchy may have thought he was slightly off the record, especially with the comment about the fans never picking up a ball. The comments coming off the back of a big defeat and a Macca esque performance were never going to down well.
We all know the players don't go out to lose, but when people pay hard earned cash to watch sport they expect to see 100% effort from the team. The Hudds game attitude (as stated by Lynch) wasn't right. That is where the big kick in the teeth came and other comments compounded the situation.
It's a good job we won yesterday other wise we could have heard some real upset fans this week. This might just get swept under the rug now..........

Probably not.
I think also it's been forgotten just how stark things can sometimes appear in print, something said, maybe as an aside and with a bit of a grin can look like the world's biggest bellyache when written down, the words staring back from the paper reading nothing at all like the nuanced delivery of the spoken word. I'd suspect it might have been something like that in the first place.

| He's done the players blog this week. Nothing to do with the media team that may or may not have dropped him in it?
Hopefully after the gut busting effort on Sunday this can be forgotten about now.

| In fairness, he also gave the players both barrels after the first cas try and then played a Captain's knock. In the blog he credits the fans for getting behind the team on Sunday. If all this is Lynch being more vocal and our defence keeps improving as dramatically as last week then he can scream the place down for me.

My understanding is that you are very much along the right lines there.

Did the talking on the pitch against Cas where it really matters.
Lets move on get behind Lynch, the team and the club and enjoy rugby league.
