Better than Kearney at full back? I don't think so.

18821_1298880800.jpg
I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.
Another classic:
You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".
Therefore ZERO.
Well if he cant displace Webb, I think the Bulls would be taking yet another risk.

That is putting it very diplomatically!

| I think it'd be a pretty good race between Brett Webb and Paul Deacon. I think Deacs might just edge it!
Webb has gone very much downhill very quickly.

It's a good point
Webb has really declined in the last 12 months - shaky in defence, and less effective chiming into the attack. He's become a very mediocre SL full back. If Lee Smith can't displace him, then it doesn't say much for his full back credentials does it?

| The bulls have enquired about the services off Lee.
I thought they may have had a punt a few weeks back but when Kear was signed i assumed that was a no go, but it seems not.
Certainly good cover for the 3 quarters being able to play FB/Wing/Centre and plenty of pace.
Might be a sign walker might be getting pushed into the forwards ?
Thoughts?????

| We look a bit light on wingers for 2012 but is that where Lee Smith sees his future?
I hadn't realised he played a full season at centre if the information on wiki is correct. If he could find his form before he went to Union then he would be an improvement on Sykes/Platt.

| I agree he'd be an improvement on either Sykes or Platt. However, there are some questions that need answering like how much would it cost us to take him from Leeds, how much would he be expecting to get paid and can we fit him under the salary cap?
I know there was the rumour that the club had told both Sykes and Platt to look for new clubs, however I don't think it would be sensible for the club to lose 2 players just to gain a 1 player who was only a slight improvement over either one, more so when you think that one of the players we'd be losing has home grown status which is something that counts in his and the club's favour.

| Like i've said previously , if i say where the info comes from then there would be no future info.
This is 100% , i don't know where our 'enquiry' will take us in terms of him becoming a bull or not but we have certainly asked his availability .
I think it could be a good move all round,
Lee couldn't get in the Leeds squad when Watkins was injured let alone fit.
The deal Lee would of signed returning from union would of been greater than his current value to the team, so leeds might be happy to reduce some wages.
He gets to play on a more regular basis
And bulls get a potential england outside back.
I would take him any day of the week over either Sykes or Platt, He has a nac of scoring in big games (if i remember rightly he got the mom in both finals prior to his union stint)

| I would say he is better than Platt or Sykes in the centres, does this mean one of those two has found a club?

| He's at risk of slowly fading into obscurity, a bit like Stuart Fielden. Sadly.

That's probably why he is considering a move to a big club.

I predict:
Bradford > Wakefield > Featherstone/Batley > Leeds Carnegie
