I think we're down now to our core support, season ticket holders mainly. A couple of away fixtures and a bye week before we face Celtic on 17th May. The crowd for that match will be interesting to say the least and no doubt will be at the exercising the minds of the Board.

Very true. But it does beg the question whether Salford, Hull KR, Cas, Catalans, Wakefield, Quins & Hudds who are all above us in the league have more money to spend on their squads than we do.
Some of our problems surely must be down to the way we are spending the money?

| The ultimate irony for me watching the SKY coverage, was listening to Iestyn Harris the man whose signing has effectively destroyed your club, giving his "expert" opinions. I'd like to have heard him say "well they were pretty good before I signed".

the fault was with the person who offered him the money surely. would you have turned it down?
nope, me neither.
and only one man has ruined the team and that is the current coach

With around 7.5k home support, we can expect to be staying in the bottom half of the table for the foreseeable future. If the Bulls are to stand any chance of getting out of this mess, they need the fans to continue to support the club.
Shame on you 'glory fans'.'"
If the fans are to keep on turning up they need to hear some positives from the club. Whilst we are told rubbish about 'flat performances' and 'there were positives to be seen' nobody is going to pay any attention to the club. And as for the old standard of 'dumb rugby' can anybody tell me what the hell Sheriffe was hoping to achieve by palming the ball back into play. The best outcome would have been a drop out for a knock on behind the line and that was supposedly what he was trying to stop.

And maybe a little more honesty? I said that a few weeks ago (unlikely I pleased anyone from the club reading it at the time) and its surely more important than ever now? If there are financial or other issues behind the scenes contributing to the current dreadful situation, maybe fans (with the usual one exception) would understand a bit better? Maybe that would give the fans more hope, or at least some better reason to keep turning up every week and to try and get behind the team?

quite. And Sheriffe's gaff was one of the worst I've seen in a long long time. Problem is it was bourne out of good intentions and an instinct to help the team, but it was the incorrect thing to do. Which is much like a lot of our play at the moment, well intentioned and some effort but all too often misapplied - like solo trying a hero over the top ball in his own 20 that surrendered possension (perhaps because he realised that he was the only one carrying any threat last night), or rushing the miss out pass that ended up being a pass into the warrington line for one of their last tries.
These errors of concentration and application are ultimtely the players fault, but I'd like to think good coaching and drilling might remove these poor decisions over time but thats not happening. Why?

| The errors they are making are typical of people that are tired. This is not solely due to the Easter period but have been shown all season. We do not seem fit enough. At the start of the season we fell away badly in the second half. Unfortunately we are not going to pick up any fitness mid-season.

It would be interesting to see how many the Bulls would have taken to Warrington had the fixture been reversed. Travelling to Odsal from Queensbury seems a pretty long journey at the moment.

You are joking. Whilst I will agree that we didn't take hordes of supporters it was a poor effort from the good people of Wakefield for a team in such a great position as we are constantly being told.

| Quote: ollie35 "Sold out nearly at Huddersfield tomorrow, oh how times changed since Bradford took the mick out of our crowds, its called a winning team lads so lets see you stick through thick and thin.'"
Some truth in what ollie35 says, and some wishful thinking. I remember seven or eight years ago a Bulls fan on this board trying to convince me that the 'people's team' had found a new way to attract fans and that crowds would stay up even if they had a poor patch. Clearly wrong - all clubs get boosted crowds with success, and lose them with failure. That's also the reason for the poor Wire turn out last night - you probably haven't noticed but home gates are well down at Wire, too, this season. As for Hudds, I'm pleased they are finally getting more than a couple of dozen speccies turning up in what is, after all, the 'home town' of rugby league. However, the time to gloat over Bulls fans is when you've averaged more than 10,000 per home game for more than ten years as Bradford have, not after half-a -dozen games in one season.
