The trouble is, Huddersfield is still not a glamour tie. This isn't meant as a knock on you guys, but it's the truth. A floating fan might look at a game against Saints, Wigan or Leeds and decide to pay to see it. But Huddersfield isn't an attractive proposition especialy give that a) the game is a nothing game and b) it's on Sky

Aye , and if I remember rightly they lost the final to Wigan to boot

Yeah he did, it's Roger's lad isn't it? Be interesting to see how he goes - along with our youngsters obviously

| I like Huddersfield, and I've been many times when there isn't a fixture clash. But there does seem to be some "unfinished business" element to the fixture according to Fartown fans. Even though the win they deemed worthy of putting on a t-shirt was a few years ago, with victories since, there's still a feeling that they look up to us -- I'm willing to concede this is the wrong phrase -- but something among the fans screams "I really hope we beat Bradford", even though they've been consistently better than us for about 3-4 seasons. Everything from hoping they stuff us to out singing us and everything in between. I don't mind as long as it stays amicable and doesn't descend into what some of the other derbies have and become very bitter and troublesome.
Do any Giants fans see this (and Bradford at any time) as just another game? Because, to me, it's certainly not the view of those who shout the loudest online.

| From my point of view i still enjoy beating the Bulls, it comes from when Bradford were a pretty decent team themselves when Bulls fans took great pleasure in ridiculing EVERYTHING to do with our club, fair enough there was a lot worth ridiculing back then, but stuff like "huddersfield dont deserve to be in the same league" " they will never be as good as us" and the usual stuff about crowds/scorelines/players, some of it justified, some just arrogance, some friendly banter.
We used to get the service bus back after the game and it was packed with Bulls fans going back home to Huddersfield, again taking the pee out of everything about our club, it did grind with us obviously and we did think wouldn't it be nice to beat these and shut these people up and WE can turn the tables....Well we did and we overtook the Bulls on and off the field eventually, then it was our turn to return the pleasantries.
Today there are no Bulls fans on that journey home anymore but certainly for most of us who were around then it was and is still sweet when we beat Bradford even though these years its almost expected. it is amicable, certainly from us, its more getting our own back really, though i do get the impression our progress in the last few years has hurt the Bulls fans, not all but certainly some i've come across, more than they will admit -possibly from the ones who were indeed the ones who stated we would never compete with their world beating Bulls.
It is a derby game, a rivalry no matter how big, from both sides and i guess its like any other derby game where the winner gets the bragging rights. We suffered years of hammerings at home and away, had the Bulls rammed down our throats in our own town so its kind of strange that it all died.

| Fairdoos and cheers.
I've personally never felt that schadenfreude for Huddersfield so perhaps the change of tide that has brought the "finally we can have [iour[/i moment" banter to the fore is more stark and apparent to me now.

| Whatever happens I hope Langley will get one of the best send offs possible.
Sounds in t&a as though he's definitely going. It'll be very emotional and ill be extremely sad to see him leave.

If it's not officially confirmed before the game, we should certainly be able to tell by his reaction after the final hooter. Him and a few others actually.

"[iLangley, Michael Platt, Keith Lulia and Jobe Murphy are poised for pastures new and Francis Cummins has paid tribute to all four men." [/i
Seems pretty certain these guys are off, so I hope Langley does play and gets the reception and farewell his loyal and excellent service deserves.
Id say he deserves a big screen highlight reel given he was playing in the all conquring 2003 squad and played in 2 world club championship winning sides and the 2005 grand final winning side.... the last player to leave from our golden era. Thanks for the effort Jamie.
Good luck and thanks too to Platt, Lulia and Jobe.

Mate, anyone who has been around since before a week last Wednesday could tell you that it generally goes in circles. Clubs come up and then they drop [even Wiggin spent time in div 2] and the only certainty is that nothing really stays the same forever. The Bulls had a good run and we enjoyed it, now it looks like it could be your turn [though, to turn a phrase - "you've won nowt yet"] so enjoy it while it lasts, and savour it too, for it sure as hell doesn't last forever.
For most Bulls' fans the only [ireal[/i 'big' game is the L**ds match, with maybe Saints and Wigan coming up behind, maybe when you've won summat [and I'm certain that you will, btw] it will become a 'bigger' fixture in our minds. Good luck in the play-offs.

Dunno is the short answer. The only rumour I've head is that Cas were interested, but that's totally unsubstantiated and may have stemmed from the Millward period anyway.
