Huddersfield were shockingly bad tonight. Saying that, despite Catalans winning, if I had Club Call, I'd be picking them. They weren't anything special and Leeds would have absolutely killed them if they had as many penalties as Catalans gave away.

Yeah indeed, didn't see it, but am certain that Leeds will pick them now. And that they will now get paggered.



But you never know...

Giants think they are something they are not all of a sudden. They've been found out now, back to the for them next season. Any team that know how to blame will take them apart.

Really embarrassing that that's all that turned up and unless I have hearing problems I heard booing at the end, not that there were that many left by the full time whistle. Catalans played Huddersfield at their own game tonight and made it look like men against boys.

Its odd that such a big successful club on the up has struggled so much in the playoffs....

Wonder how much cash Davy took out of his own pocket (if that's legal) or how hard the club had to work to free up the cash to subsidise this years season tickets? It's a thankless task running one of the top teams isn't it?

Sure is.

I'm guessing there might be a few less visits over the next few days. But if you're one of the hardy few who followed Hud tonight and turned up it must be frustrating. But it just follows the trend generally of playoff games being well down on support across the board, I suspect maybe the Hull KR wigan game might buck this trend and hopefully the playoffs will take off then, because its been poor all-round so far.

I suppose it's a sign of how far you have fallen when the only enjoyment you seem to be getting is from your near neighbours failings at the end of a fantastic season.

I take little enjoyment out of seeing the Giants once again failing when it mattered. However we have endured pretty much a season of Giants trolls telling us how good they're and revelling in our decline this season. How the Giants support is booming and the Bulls glory fans deserting us. So I think people can be excused for having a little laugh back.

I don't mind it, actually quite enjoy it, if you dish it out you've got to take it too

After Bird belted Sculthorpe and there was that brief altercation it was all over for Hudds. They were out muscled and didn't have anyone who seemed willing to hit back. Sculthorpe's become their 'enforcer' since his move and likes to throw himself around, once he'd got mullered by a half back the game was up. Big Eorl's a solid forward but he's not got that streak of nastiness it sometimes takes to rough up the opposition. Despite all the talk of their pack they haven't yet got the 'mongrel' needed to square up properly, Wire outmuscled them in the CC final, Morley repeatedly targeting Eorl and Catalans pretty much owned them last night. I can't imagine the Leeds pack will allow Catalans to do that, but no doubt we'll see.

Not really. It proves how small minded and bitter I am but I would be exactly the same had this been one of the seasons were we won the league by winning every game or were holders of all four trophies at once or equalled Wigan's record of 3 WCC.



At a do in Slaithwaite tonight I shall be attending in my 2003 treble winning shirt and rubbing it in good and proper.

To add insult to injury burglers broke into the Galpharm trophy room last night. They got away with some blue carpet and an egg cup with carnegie nines (no I've no idea either) written on the side of it.

Seriously if ever there is a club that needs to make hay whilst the sun shines its Huddersfield. Davy won't be able to keep up the financial momentum for ever and one of the key reasons for their success has been the coaching from Nathan Brown (granted Hodgson has been excellent too)
