I know we haven't appointed a coach yet. I know the received wisdom says you wait for the new coach before signing/re-signing players, however if anybody from the club actually reads any of these posts.....PLEASE RE-SIGN STEVE MENZIES. Please do it NOW. Don't wait. I don't care who the coach is, he is hardly likely to complain about having such assets as the Beaver.
If any coach wouldn't want Steve in the side, to be honest, I would have to wonder whether we'd got the right coach. Probably more than half the first team squad will be already signed on contracts beyond this year anyway, one more won't make jot of difference. After the cup loss, tying up Steve would be a tremendous boost for the whole club to take us into the 'business' end of the season.
You know it makes sense. Sign him. Now. Please.

Agree wholeheartedly. I can't think of anyone (who'd realistically come) from the NRL who I'd rather see in a Bulls shirt in 2011. I'm hoping his got another two seasons in him!! |
