| I fear for what will happen against leeds next week.
A lot of people will come on here having a pop at bentham but he let us get away with a couple of high shots, and we tackled whilst not square at the ptb, but we dropped the ball far to much, 1st tackle knockons killed our chances 5 I think we had in our own half.
And when we did get to their line we ran out of ideas gale dosent fill me with confidence just no ideas in their 3rd.

| Poor performance.
Warrington didn't need to be anywhere near their best. They looked confident in defence and despite quite a few errors they never really looked threatened by us.
So much for learning from the Wigan game, we need a big performance next week.

| A few too many knock on early in the tackle count were real killers for us today. Our attack close to their line just wasn't good enough for the quality of opposition today. I can barely remember a kick from Gale when he wasn't under pressure from Wire defenders. They worked hard to hold us up in the tackle and slow our momentum and we really do struggle to score points if we don't get a quick PTB. 2 tries from 160 mins of rugby says it all despite it being against the best sides in the comp. The games don't come any easier with Leeds up next either!

| After watching the game, I feel that Walker needs to be dropped for next game, too many missed tackles and caught in no mans land again.
Gale needs to learn to pass to the second man instead of hitting the dummy runner. When he finally did pass to the man running round the back, we scored. Also he just flung ball and hoped it went to a Bradford player a couple of times. Although our passing from the entire team was off.
Defence was pretty good, absorbed a lot of pressure. Was pleasing that we got back with some scrambling defence when Warrington made a break.
Benthams performance was strange, gave us everything first half, and nothing to Warrington, then gave everything to Warrington second and nothing to Bradford. Just decided to ignore one team either half. We were lucky to get away with couple high shots second half.
Disappointing but we've got to remember we're 6th at half way point and most fans would have taken

20201.jpg "I'm 49, I've had a brain haemorrhage and a triple bypass and I could still go out and play a reasonable game of rugby union. But I wouldn't last 30 seconds in rugby league." - Graham Lowe (1995):20201.jpg |

| Gale waving his hand manically to be first receiver at every PTB near their line was a bit of an indication where the ball might go, and no-one at dummy half seemed to take the initiative other than to go where he directed or throw the usual flat pass to a forward, most of whom weren't coming on to the ball with any speed or desire. I was really disappointed in Gale's performance full stop, whilst Wire were putting us under pressure with high balls, he repeatedly kicked low - more often than not in to an opposing player's head. His passing, including the no look - or should I see the fling it out without any idea where it's going pass - mislead most of his own team and generally he executed very poorly. We had plenty of chances in the first half close to their line and in front of the Bradford fans, but managed to either knock on, get it intercepted or play the ball to nobody, requiring Kearney to kick it across the field. Execution overall was lousy and that was before the rain. Second half, no idea how one sided the penalty count was, but we didn't help ourselves at all, and despite some moments of spirited defending we fell apart at the end.
Ratchford looked very dangerous with the ball in hand and had far more time to play than Wire allowed us. Atkins was his usual narky self, with a real dumb penalty in front of the touch judge in the first half, which we again failed to capitalise on. He and Gale were chipping away at each other throughout but Atkins had the last laugh scoring in front of the Bulls end. Overall it wasn't as bad as the score line suggested and if we had taken our chance to even things up before the end of the first half rather than gifting them a try wide we might have been in with a shout the second half.

| Cummins has it spot on when he spoke of the Bulls constantly looking for a knock out play instead of building pressure and earning the right to try a risky play. Unfortunately he said the same thing after the Wigan game and the players haven't learnt their lesson.
The team spirit and effort is there but we have to learn to be smarter to stand a chance of competing against the better sides in SL. I think all our playmakers were pretty anonymous today except for some of their errors.
Hard to see anything other than another big defeat against Leeds unless the players can rectify some of those issues in this short turnaround.

| As a Wire fan I couldn't go today but in recent weeks there are 2 things that Wire fans are commenting on
1. Atmosphere at HJ is flat and was today. What are your thoughts?
2. General feeling that the league doesn't matter any more as long as you're in the top four/eight. Again, thoughts?

| Exactly what we need going into the Leeds game, a chance to restore a bit of pride. I asked in the preview thread if we'd take a Warrington tonking for a win next Friday. I fully expect that to happen.

Yeah, exactly what we need. Back to back tonkings just before we play a side who are in top form.
What a stupid thing to say.

| Anyone else think that Lulia looks a bit fed up. Like he doesn't want to be here? Seemed he couldn't be bothered to try to stop one of the try scorers in the second half

I'm not sure if defences have figured him out or his mind is elsewhere but he isn't the same player as last year so far. Still fairly sound in defence but the hand offs and quality offloads seem to have disappeared from his game. Hopeful that Matty Blythe is finally passed fit for the derby, he was our most dangerous runner before his injury.

| Warringtons defence was rock solid today, ours wasn't. most disappointing thing is we still had a shout with twenty mins left but ccouldn't up our game... a hard shift for the lads.

| One of the reasons Lulia has struggled is that our attacking structure from right to left has been badly disrupted by the absence of Gale, Jeffries and often Bateman who was at his best in that left channel last season. Sammutt is great but doesn't have a great pass.
If Gale gets fit and our line gets settled we should move the ball left quicker and give Keith something of a running chance which he's not getting.

| Thought we were better than the score suggested, though there's no doubt Wire were deserved winners. We defended very well for most of the game but were undone by some quality attacking skills, which we didn't seem to have along with a strong defence.
It wasn't the best day for handling to be fair and Wire dropped a few themselves, though generally had more time and didn't need to rush things as we did. Once again we looked a bit 'lightweight' up front and it showed with the quick ptbs that Wire were getting. That said, as with the Wigan game, we need to start taking whatever the ref will put up with when getting out of the ruck, other sides seem to be pushing the envelope [and getting away with it] far more than us on that one.
Overall, I'm disappointed with the score and some aspects of the performance, but as I never really had it down as a match we were likely to win, I'm not desperately unhappy about the result.
