One assumes that his contract will have a clause about Super League. And just like when he didn't end up going to Leigh, I expect he wouldn't go to Hull KR if they get relegated.

I would imagine Ethan thinks if he can prove himself as a SL class winger then he will always have better offers, whatever happens.

I'm sure he could have joined a SL club long before now and all credit to him for his loyalty to us. But as has already been said, he won't be in SL with us any time soon and it isn't really fair to expect a lad with dreams and ambitions to play at least another couple of years at lower level, with no guarantees. For me, he has more than done his time, and done us all proud.

I cannot disagree with this, although that might just be because he isn't exactly setting the Championship on fire right at this moment in time.

For one reason or another he is lacking form and confidence. That might be due to being switched to full back, or could be that he has his head somewhere else. For me, whatever it is I would strongly encourage him to sort himself out as he is being paid to do a job this season and isn't doing it that well.

Ethan would have scored a hell of a lot more tries on the wing for sure, although he has done ok at fullback, he is more affective on the wing

There were rumours that he'd had offers from other clubs including Castleford, however it may be that he's taken a hard look at Cas' side and HKR's side and decided that he's got more chance of playing regularly for KR than he would for Cas.

Yes he is, but I still contend he's not done himself any harm by showing that he can also be effective in another position as it clearly makes him more useful, so a more valuable acquisition.

Hull Kr only have Will Oakes signed up for the wing next year, I can see Ethan going as first choice winger, Hall is rumoured to be going elsewhere. They are releasing Ryan Shaw.

Haven't they just signed Minniken from Cas too, though not sure if they see him as a or a wing.

Only rarely do new signings get a guarantee of first team spots - and those that do don't need one! - but I would personally be sure Ethan would have got a much more solid assurance than "you'll play in the stiffs and have to play your way into contention for a first team spot".

Without doubt. All these idiots only watching him once or twice in a novice position in the pro game are talking bollox. He is better than anything KR have at the moment on finishing ability. He has obviously chosen game time over club. Which again is testimony to the character he is he only wants to play.

Again the reserves game looks like we have two very good young stein and lightning wingers waiting for a chance. Jy was a full back when he first came over. He could play there. Although I feel he is now an out and out winger from his cas form. Just hope our next fullback is adequate
