Bit harsh. He is an acceptable winger for a bottom of the table club. Basic acceptability is not what you want to use a quota spot on so giving him a one year deal last year and asking him to work for his next deal has showed us his flaws and it would appear he has not done enough for us for next year. Fine. Sometimes these things don't work out, move on.

If his attitude in training has been off then it is reasonable to drop him and allow someone else a chance

In my opinion Ah Van has been a decent servent to the club, whilst I agree his ability is not that of a top super league player im sure he will do well with his next club. Agreed that it is time to move on.

Does nothing for the club, less for the UK game, even less for aspiring juniors and critically is a complete waste of sterling. Too much acceptance of mediocrity in the British psyche.

To be fair, in some cases taking part would be a step up.

Served a purpose this year, found wanting so we move on. Lets hope he doesn't kick a goal from the touchline side to beat us next year.

It's mediocrity which make the world go round mate. Brilliance, being what it is - like few and far between and not always available - is wonderful I have to admit, but the truth is that mediocrity or someone just 'decent' is what you watch whilst waiting for someone brilliant to turn up.

Anyone know what sort of wage bill we'd have for 17 brilliant players and if it would fit under the cap?

Disappointing, because I thought we had signed a decent player at the start of the season, but as the season progressed I found him becoming very lazy.

On the one hand I feel like leaving him out for the rest of the season, he doesn't want to be here. Then I don't want him getting a free ride where he just sits out the rest of the season doing sod all.

I'd put him at Prop and make him work...... I'm evil hahaha

Im sure he's a great guy (PAV) but his attitude does seem questionable, more so in the Warrington game. Id be inclined to leave him out of the side for the rest of the games and give game time to the likes of Crookes, Ainscough (if he returns to fitness) and Finigan. We have other people who can kick so might be worth trying players who will / might be here next year (Just my thoughts)

Forget free ride - will be paying double if we continue to play him, frustration and irritation. Id rather pay him to stay off the pitch to be honest, not keen on paying people for free rides but we could have said weeks ago your not staying go to widnes now!
Had his chance but never showed passion or desire and without being a natural world beater those qualities never endear yourself. Compare him to raynor and Ainscough who have energy and the two above and it is amazing he played regularly at all.

He can't handle centre, prop would kill him

I ssen a tweet back end of last week from him saying something along the lines of "Thank bradford for the chance and is going to give 100% for da boys" - i just read it and thought bit late now should of give 100% from the off !!!
