As someone who was directly involved with setting up Bullbuilder in the first place, I can say confidently it had no link to BISA at all (I was on the BISA board too briefly FWIW).
When BullBuilder was set up, it was purely and solely to do with doing something positive for the club when it was down in the dumps and investing in the youth. Discussions were of course held about having a controlling interest in the club, but it was totally and unanimously thrown out by all involved. As someone has mentioned on here before, for BullBuilder to even think about getting involved in the running of a club, it's constitution would need changing and the members would need to vote on that happening.
Noises I've seen from the current BullBuilder board seem to echo the sentiments of the original group. The desire is not there to run the club, not to mention the time, expertise and the money isn't there either. They seem very much still all about investing in the academy and nothing more.
Where that leaves them if a new club decides to scrap the academy, we don't know. I have confidence in the Chair Paul though who I know from my time there, and I'm sure the other board members are of a similar ilk to make the correct calls.
Obviously in situations like this, there's always going to be a call for any existing Trusts to get involved. But I think it's wide of the mark when it's suggested BullBuilder are the ones to do that. I personally think if fan involvement is going to happen (and I consider it quite unlikely), I think it'll be via a new group. Hopefully not one affiliated with any other existing groups like Bulls Banter or the BBSG (whatever they're called) who don't seem to me to have the correct skillset to offer anything of real value.

See my previous post - we supposedly had parties who came to an agreement with the rfl over the lease. So clearly some cash to spend.
Now that the debt is gone, isn't the only stumbling block for those parties out of the way?

| Well there is nobody willing or able to pump in money, and so this mickey mouse "plan" floated by the RFL in a moment of madness can't get off the ground.
Maybe they could quickly rustle up a 70s concert with Rick Astley (whose star is back on the rise), if that made as many millions as the last one, we'd be all right.

No funding to speak of, (and even that may be deducted for a year as the going-rate penalty); no sponsorship money; very little season ticket money; and the full 100% costs of starting from absolute scratch and having a brand new company and full club setup up and running within 4 weeks, with no money to pay any staff or players.
Is it just me?'"
No it's not just you, a fair few of us have seen this for what it is. RFL securing a few more months rent and hoping their fixtures can be completed by a skeleton team to ensure next season when the "New Co" dies they can simply replace them with an amateur side in L1 without any problems.

| There will be no bidders with rugby at heart with any money. There may be bidders with land and development opportunities at heart with some money. Neither scenario will end well.

| Does any body know when we can expect an announcement about the imminent announcement of the new owners being imminent?

Not just you
I found myself laying awake during the night pondering how on earth all this can stack up financially. With the sheer amount of money that is very clearly needed to be immediately thrown into a new project, any new owner has to either be fabulously wealthy (and therefore can afford to lose it) or totally deluded
If its the former, where have they been for the last seven weeks. If it's the latter, then Admin 4 is only a matter of time.

I agree pal. And as someone also part of BB and BISA I can only imagine the stress of being part of running a club under the conditions imposed. I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

But you'd be doing it for free, though. So the rewards to your soul would be great

No it isn’t. I keep asking who has the money behind these guys and nobody has a clue.

Same here but I would be flabbergasted if that’s the case. It’s throwing good money after bad.

The RFL were rightly not handing over the lease to any chancers but TBH I can’t see anyone worth their salt getting involved without it being included. Those like Lamb who are saying they’re just interested in running the club must either be backed by extremely wealthy people or utterly deluded. I say again, who is is backer?

Not suggesting running the club , but having a voice and a controlled contribution
I'd suggest that essentially you are now redundant , an academy is basically pointless now and for the near future

| Well, Lamb has now had over a year to come up with proof of funding, so you'd think maybe he'd have it available?

But they reached an agreement with at least one party. As in, they were willing to sell.
If this party is still around and still interested, then what's stopping them?

Rick Astley was big in the 80s, not the 70s.
