If you are serious about wanting to sign Perry, I can only assume you have yet to see him play for Saints. The guy is an absolute waste of space, a complete failure of an overseas signing, no doubt on a shedload of cash, and is now crocked with a potentially career-ending pectoral injury.

I would rather we play with 3 props than sign this guy.

We would need a tried and trusted Prop if we where going to use up a spot for them, we got extremely lucky with Nas IMO, a player no one had really heard of, still think we should get Potter on the phone and see if there are any players he has seen whilst in Aus who would want a crack at the SL.

Carvell would be a super signing, get anther prop in, drop Langley back to backrow with Bateman and give Donno a try at loose.

If we are still looking for players:

Keep - Chev, Donno, Kearney, Langley, Platt, Evans, Blythe.
Lose - Diskin, Lulia, Murphy, Addy.

I wouldnt mind us trying to get Alex Brown from KR or Luke George from Hudds, Julian Bousquet from Catalan and possibly Lee Gaskell from saints as our 6/7 cover.

Also depends if Kearney will take up his 1yr extension.

Carvell, Nas, Scruton, Sidlow, Evans + 1 is a respectable front row. I'd even drop Langers back to loose and try Donno in the right second row as he defends well and it's where you're normally facing the oppo's strike players.

Think we should sign that Paul Sykes who's OOC. Can cover 3/4 or half back but mainly we've not had a decent scapegoat since he left. It's nice to unite the fans with a by singling out one player that we can all agree is the single reason we lost a game.

There's a lot of talk around Jordan Thompson leaving Cas at the end of this season, which is almost certainly going to happen since he has turned down their contract offer.
Most people presumed he was off to Hull FC, but a Cas fan has just posted on the Hull boards claiming that they are no longer the front runners for his signature.
All conjecture obviously, but could we have made a move for this guy?

If you're not sure who he is, he's the ginger second-rower who scored against us when we played Cas at Odsal earlier in the season. Seems like a strong running second rower, currently being wasted out in the centres by Cas because they have nobody else.

No disrespect but I can't see you've a hope in hell of any young, up & coming player from another club other than a short tern loan. Thompson is very highly rated, despite being ginger.

He's not [ithat[/i good but he'd be a useful addition to our squad and go with other up and coming players like Bateman, Kear, Foster, O'Brien, Roberts, Wood, Olbison and Donaldson
