who can kick?'"

Sykes, Orford, Donaldson are good kickers. I'd say Sykes was the best out of those 3 though.

IIRC Wagga used to kick at Castleford and Menzies has kicked 1 goal in his career icon_lol.gif .

If Hyde or Addy break into the squad we'll be set.

You do remember correctly.

He kicked 59 goals for Cas in the 2004 season. Took over from Wayne Bartrim who was their previous regular kicker.

Edit: His league goal kicking was 56 from 76. Which is a 74% success rate.

No idea how many he missed though.'"

Doubt he'd stick his hand up when he only kicked for half a season 6 years ago. Plus he's only playing about 30 a match.

I would hand it to Sykes for the rest of the season tbh, let him get used to it again, tell him to get a bit of practice in and we'll be ok.

He kicked for the full season, but it was the year Cas got relegated, so he didn't kick many because of that. Bartrim was the regular kicker the year before, but left after 2003.

He had a 74% ratio, compared to Orford's 73% this year. But both of those are rounded to the point where it's almost exactly the same figure.
Sykes has 0% this year, but that's because he's got 0 from 3.

To be honest, for that kicking ratio, it's not worth having someone who's out of practice for 6 years, as you mentioned.

Personally, I've always found Sykes' kicking to be inconsistent. He can very good sometimes and very poor at others. I'd stick with Ox.

(I appreciate this belongs on the other thread, but there's been a kind of crossover! I'll move to the other thread for goal kicking discussion)

They all seem to be similar really: Good, but no Deacon, but then who is?

I don't think it's a huge worry tbh, a few easy ones have been missed but I think the majority of the ones missed have been closer to the touchline than the sticks.

Where did you get the stats? What was Sykes kicking ratio for any season at Quins?

Well, I came here to take out my frustrations on Worrincy after his 'performance' last evening, but its all been said by others.

It's a shame really, because he seems like he has all the attributes - a big powerful lad, who has a great turn of pace. You could see him as a Sonny Nickle type - but whereas Nickle always seemed to have a big of devil about him, Worrincy is a pussycat.

It's hard to say that someone who, presumably, none of actually knows 'can't be bothered' or is 'lazy, but it sure looks that way to those of us observing. Like others have said, he's going to get targetted by other coaches if he plays in future weeks - and you'd expect that to be the case.

Frankly, he could with a spell on loan at Dewsbury or Halifax to rebuild his career. But I fear that Macca has decided that he's worth persisting with and will play him anyway.

Hope he listens to Big Sam and trains hard all week, then gets selected against Hull!

That doesn't really matter. I would be happy going to Hull with 2 props rather than 2 2nd rowers on the bench.

If Langley is back, we will have Hall playing as a prop & Kopzcak on the bench.
