| Quote: HamsterChops "And one glance at the TotalRL "journalist" (term used very loosely) offers no surprise. The bloke is stealing a wage.'"
Wouldn't be Mr Shaw by any chance? He's dropped another clanger in his article about first half score beating a record.
Quote: HamsterChops "An incredible 40 minutes saw Bradford score NINE tries in just eleven minutes, ending the half leading 52-0.
After checking our extensive records, it appears that Bradford’s winning record was the biggest in the top tiers of Rugby League’s leading competitions.
The previous record was from a game in the NRL between Newcastle Knights and North Queensland Cowboys from 2003. The Knights raced to a 48-0 lead by the interval, much to the disbelief of everyone in attendance.'"
I know we had a good first half but it certainly took us longer than eleven minutes to get the 9 tries

| Quote: Bull Mania "Was having a mooch around on the other boards and was having a read on the Saints juniors news topic. They were discussing the latest batch of Juniors being signed up by various clubs.
Rogues Gallery (who is one of the most informed posters on junior rugby) was talking about our U16s player Cameron Scott being one of the most sought after players in the game at the moment. I knew he was a massive talent, and Rogues was saying every top club was trying to get his signature.
According to Bramley Dog on the Bullbuilder topic, Scott has signed for us which would be a HUGE signing for the club. Really hope this is true. For me the signing of our juniors is the biggest bit of business the club has to get right and sign them up. We've an excellent set of first years in the U19s who are currently 6th in the league. Sign the likes of Scott, Trueman, Brown etc up and we will return to SL in the long term. This is how we must go forward. Forget signing SL rejects.
Interestingly i noticed on twitter Ethan Ryan was attracting interest from a few SL clubs. but Ross seems to think he will sign with us shortly.'"
Cameron Scott is still young enough to qualify for the under 16s so is still at least 5 years away from playing any first team rugby. If he's really that highly sought after, I'd say we have little to zero chance of hanging onto him long enough to ever see him make his first team debut.
I hope I'm wrong obviously, but it's the unfortunate truth thanks to where the club is these days.

5?
Jacob Trueman, Sam Burgess, John Bateman all made their debuts in their first year as an academy player at 17. Not saying Scott will do that but there's no way he still wont have made his debut at 20. If we sign him and other clubs want him, then they will have to pay for him.
I'd rather we sign Scott than yet another SL reject, play him for 4 games, then realise he's not good enough and ship him out on loan to Dewsbury while we still pay him a wage.

Well yeah, I mean those are special circumstances but I hope you're right and he has a long and successful Bulls career!

I've met the kid and without wanting to big him up too much, I'd say he is definitely capable of playing first team at 17, so in the next 12-18 months. Has made just as much impact as Bateman at amateur level. I refuse to compare him to Burgess though because that guy is different gravy!

This time last year I think that you'd have said the same thing about James Clare. To SOME players, the idea of playing regularly to give yourself the chance to improve is more important than being a squad player at a Super League club. Even if sometimes it means earning a little less money. I think that Mariano is OOC at the end of the year and he's already played for Wakefield and Hull KR before his time at Cas, so I'd say he could be a realistic target.

| I'd like to see Matt Cook back at the club. A solid forward and Good leader.
Not sure how long he has at Cas though.

| Re Cameron Scott,
Cameron turns 17 in October, numerous SL Clubs were in the hunt for his signature. I doubt he will be kept under wraps for too long.

Oddly I'd just read about him wanting a new deal at Cas and he's there until end of 2017.

I think he would be great for us but seems to fit perfectly at Cas, and already talking about new deals there.
I think his problem at us initially was his utility he was still filling out and we couldnt decide whether he was a centre or back rower.

| To be fair, Cook always looked a prospect that wasn't going to quite fulfil the promise when he was Odsal. Could see he may be a top player, but never really got tot the level where he was demanding a place in the 17 every week.
Yeah now he'd likely be doing that, but would he command a place in Wigan or Warrington's team? I don't think so.
Destined to always be one of those who looked like he could be a superstar and never quite got there. But a solid player nevertheless.

| Cook was in a similar position to to such as Brett Ferres and Ryan Atkins, and to be fair, quite a few more, when he was at the Bulls. They were all excellent players, but we had a great side back then filled with genuine stars, and you didn't break into it by being just, 'good', you had to be pretty outstanding to get a look in. Quite a few young players from the academy couldn't, and wouldn't, wait to be given the nod, so they left for pastures new and got on, rather successfully, with their lives.
