Quote: Bullseye "Quite a few players OOC at the end of this season and nothing yet announced.

Fulton – obviously would love to keep him but expect SL interest – Huddersfield were looking at him recently
Davies – good for another year
Butler – would want to keep if he can get fit
Baldwinson – would want to keep if he can get fit
Arundal - would want to keep if he can get fit
Oakes – probably let him go
Lehmann – not seen enough of him yet to say if he’s definitely a keeper. Depends if we can get anyone better.
Taufua – Would definitely give him another year
Holmes – worth a new deal possibly even 2 years if he’s fit.
Gaskell – probably leaving given the replacements announced.
Lawrence – unfortunately not able to get out on the field enough so let go'"

I think in total we have 17 contracted players already confirmed, with Waine joining Meadows on the rumoured list.

Of the OOC/loan players we have, I'd hope for the following:

Tom Holmes - Retain
Jorge Taufua - Retain
Max Lehmann - Retain
Will Oakes – Release (can't get fit and don't think he is good enough tbh)
Joe Arundal - Release (too many injuries)
Lee Gaskell - Release (rumoured to be going anyway)
Michael Lawrence - Release (injured much too often)
Franklin Pele - Retain if possible (although rumoured to be going to RU next year)
Eribe Doro - Confirmed leaving (Signed for Hull KR)
Jordan Baldwinson - Retain (if proves fitness)
Chester Butler - Release (too injury prone)
John Davies – Retain
Zac Fulton – Retain if possible (probably going to SL though)
Romain Franco – Not seen enough this year to know if worth a punt
Jack Smith – Will go back to Leeds
Jarred Sammut – Retain (worth another 12months as certainly fit enough)
Harvey Makin – Retain if possible (but probably will return to Wigan)
Liam Tindall – Not seen enough this year to know if worth a punt

James Donaldson has signed for next season apparently. Fantastic signing if true. Proper work horse who is unbelievable in defence.

Donaldson would be a superb addition. He’s even in with a shout to be captain if Lawrence retires.

Agree, start of a very good squad.

Been a bit detached on the other side of the world, can someone remind me what happens post this year regarding promotion / licensing?

Is Superleague going to be 12 teams for 2025 with licenses given later this year?
How long does the license last for? Is it a 3 year term?
The championship winners for 2025 therefore win the title and compete again in the championship for 2026?

Building a good team for next season, I honestly suspect you will be run away leaders next season barring a shock and Cas coming down for Toulouse. Hard to see the likes of Sheffield, Fev, Widnes and York been able to keep up.

Not sure about runaway leaders, I think with Wakey gone there will be quite a few clubs fancying their chances. We have some quality likely to leave yet, Doro is confirmed to be leaving etc.

I think the Bulls are quietly hoping for an increase to 14 teams SL in 2026 as this is probably our most realistic chance of promotion if the club keep progressing.

14 teams is the obvious choice, even if the two promoted clubs have less central distribution. I'm not saying that just because we're the current 14th team. Loop fixtures have gone from being a pain to an absolute cancer on the sport. Leeds V Wigan, which is one of the sports marquee fixtures, played each other for the first time a couple of weeks ago. That's round 21, when seasons can be almost over, in the middle of the summer holidays. They play each other again in 3 weeks time. No marketing gimmick can sell that.

Top spot will be wide open next year. We definitely won't be runaway leaders. Expect Fev to have another crack with new owners.

Can't see anyone being runaway leaders next year. There's not going to be a single fully professional side. Think Greg's setting us up to fail icon_lol.gif

You have to admire his persistence. Also the fact he's managing expectations for next year already!

I’d love us to be runaway leaders but we’ve not managed that since our relegation. We couldn’t do it in L1 either!

A pretty handy squad coming together though. With a few additions and us pushing for those extra percentages gains we could turn some of the close losses to close wins and put ourselves up there.

Haha not at all. Realistically Bradford could be spending twice as much as the next team(Toulouse depending) and you have to think that is going to show on the field.

People dreaming of SL expanding to 14 teams is just a dream. SL chairman would never let it happen.
