It's not hyspocrisy, speculation or guessing. The Bulls have fans as demonstrated by the attendance figures over many years. Fax don't.'" It is the ultimate in hypocracy to use an OldCo you dumped to back up a NewCo's licence application.
The fact you can't or won't see it is your problem.
If the RFL have any stones they should say 'sorry those figures from the OldCO don't count as that company is dead' but they won't.

Exactly, why punish us twice?
You're on here telling all this to us as if we've put ourselves here too, there's nothing we can do about the debt. None of us wanted to go into admin, or be in enough debt to have to form a newco, but its happened.
I can honestly say that if it was another SL club in a similar position, i'd feel the same way, there isn't a realistic option to replace them outside of SL. We've been horribly mismanaged over the last few years, but we've proven we can manage on the crowds we can pull in. Any of the Champ clubs being mentioned aren't likely to pull in the crowds and I think it's fair to say that in this economic climate it would be very hard for one of those to step up. Bet S O'C would be able to tell you just how hard and how much it costs to bring a club into sl.

Then could they not say the debt figures from oldco don't count?
The brand lives on through the newco so if we reapplied along with the Championship clubs and were most viable, then where's the problem.
You can't pick and choose which stuff you wipe from the oldcos history.

| Quote: chapylad "I personally want the Bulls in SL simply because of the crowds they bring to the game which has got to be good for SL.
However if the rules state you must not go into debt and the penalty is relegation than the Bulls should be relegated .
If the rules state you go into debt and you get a 6 point deduction then this has already happened.
Some clarification would be good on what the rules actually say.
The issue is if the Bulls were relegated and a team from the lower league was promoted. Could that team meet the criteria regardless of the amount of fans they could bring to the game.
Sadly I do not think there is a team that could measure up thus leaving SL with only 13 clubs.
To say that the Bulls are good for the game so don`t relegate us is not a good argument IMO.
Whatever the penalty is for the crime it should be adhered to and to be honest I have not got a clue what that penalty is.'" But the bulls didn't just go into admin they were in fact binned off and a new company was started.
A totally different kettle of fish IMHO.

You then binned that old company off which is far worse.
But if you think entering Admin is the same as having to create a new company and dumping all your debt then carry on.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

No they won't. They won't erase the club's result going back to 1963 either.
I don't have a problem. Hopefully the club will retain its SL license which is in the best interests of the club, the fans, the competition and the sport. I think that's correct.

A very convenient time to say he will do it , no pressure on the RFL then
So not only would the Championship Clubs be going up against the Bulls ' Historical ' plusses , the only way the RFL will get its ' advanced ' monies back and a potential 6 million investement is to have the Bulls win the ' mini licence contest ' , that sounds like a fair one
It is simply a joke
They should announce the decision to leave you in SL now

Surely you've proven exactly the opposite.
Maybe if those 10,000 people were paying the full amount for their tickets you wouldn't be in this mess, but due to dwindling performances in Super League and dropping attendances on the back of it, your club chose to write off a huge amount of revenue by giving season tickets away at a price you couldn't afford to.

Sadly I think you're correct. At full price we would have had nowhere near 10,000 plus fans with the way performances were over the last few years. Next year, whichever league we're in, with ticket prices back to something sensible and a suitably trimmed and affordable playing squad I predict we won't make 10,000 next year either.....hope I'm wrong mind.

I think one of the problems we have is that people are confusing the company and (for want of a better word), the product.
Let's imagine at some point in the past there was a product on sale which for a long time sold really well. Then the company that owned it made some really bad decisions and ran out of cash.
A new business comes along and decides that actually the product is pretty good so they effectively buy the brand. Clearly they don't want to be associated (financially or otherwise) with the previous owners so the don't buy the company, just the product.
If that product has been available since say 1907, or 1963 or any other random date, do the new owners get to say that or does it somehow become something brand new?
Do they go to their banks and say "We've just bought a product that sold really well but we don't think it's fair to assume it will carry on selling now we've bought it"?
Now let's look at the stockists of said product. Do they say "We're not going to stock this product because although it sold really well, the previous company that owned it messed up so we instead we should stock a product that we don't think will sell as well because that's fairer."?
All of the above is, of course, entirely fictional and not directly based on any recent situation.
