Great club on the up (as well as a new stadium) and putting some SL clubs to shame with their off-field stuff (while other SL chairman moan Catalans bring no away fans, York got a 3500 crowd for their cup game with them) People also forget York had real off-field problems around the same time we did, they weren't in the original fixtures release for last season only later being added and i'm sure they only had 15 players for their first game (happy to be corrected if i'm wrong) so they have come a long way
I've just made the following point on the York board: It's only 3 years since the Knights were homeless and volunteers were helping to put temporary seats up for a league game at Heworth (Amateur Rugby League Club), a match which probably drew 300 or so.

Fast forward to now, and I'd imagine 400 or so will travel across with the belief York have a genuine chance of victory. The club and everyone connected with it have come a long way in those 3 years, and although I think Bradford will shade it hopefully the progress on and off the field will see York joining you in the championship next season. Fingers crossed anyway!

I really really really don't get this at all. I know there's always a risk to our first choice halves, especially during the business end to the season, but who in the team gives way for Lilley?
Hope this doesn't turn into a situation where current players become pigged off due to an influential incomer being selected. It's happened before.

Really looking forward to this one. Anyone know what the attendance record is for the third tier? Suspect we could get a good crowd on Sunday. Good weather hopefully, two good teams in a game that really means something.

I couldn't give a definite figure but Toronto were getting over 7K pretty routinely last season, so I don't think there's any real prospect of a record

Well, yeah - however you define it season tickets are 'tickets sold' and to the best of my knowledge will be counted as attendees whether there or not.
