Quote: Bulliac "I would expect the message is already spread to be honest given the past few months. It is going to be difficult though, however it's dressed up, many people, especially those buying for families or on low wqges, will genuinely struggle to pay hugely raised prices - but, as we all know and pretty much expect -that is what we're going to get. With the teamcard (assuming, etc etc) there is at least some payback but the new owners will be treading a fine line as people in a low wage economy juggle their finances.'"

You would hope that it would be possible to put together a good price bundle for families - say kids £20 a season?

But when you say a "lot" more I have just had to copper up for my sons night out in Leeds so I reckon £150 would not be far off what going on a bender in Leeds nightclub plus a taxi back would be - so maybe for the 16-25 year old male with access to the parents bank £150 would not seem a big deal?

Hood said everyone had a £100 discount on the season ticket so you are looking at £170 - £220. It will be interesting to see what they do. Some people, like myself, bought long term season tickets. I think they ranged from 5 - 25 years. Will these be honoured or will they ask us to contribute more?
They could maybe look at the long term (depending on how big Omar Khan's bank book is) and offer tickets at about £125 for standing and £170 for seating to get the fans coming and look at the experience side to get fans spending money in the ground. He could develop the office blocks at the back and extend / re build them so everyone is in one office and then turn what is duffys office Into a curry house have a match day special all you can eat curry for £12.50 before and after the match on production of a match day ticket. Rest of week it's £15!

Maybe you are slightly nearer the more fortunate end of the income scale? I think it will come down to the individual and sadly, there are plenty in Bradford on minimum wage who would only dream of spending that amount on a night out. Plenty unable to find any work too - many will need to prioritise and a saying about blood from a stone comes to mind. I agree about the kids though, if you encourage them when they are really young, many retain the habit as they get older and become fans for life.

The last year has shown that ST's and sky money are the 2 main income streams for clubs (us anyway). The benefit of having the sky money coming in monthly has been significant.

I think having 6 or 9 monthly direct debits from November for ST's would be beneficial.

The last couple of years we would seem to having been waiting desperately for a ST lump sum in November to cover the losses built up during the season. Hopefully we don't need that now.

without been smug as soon as we knew the club was in the poo i started to save for our tickets, 3 adults and 2 junior in the stand. as i thought it probable that prices would have to go up whatever level of rugby we end up playing.
good luck to our new owners and nice to hear he has plans for the ground as well as re-building on field glories.
never mind the pie eaters come on you pakora munchers.

Fair point Bulliac, though the night out was because of his good exam results, but it left a severe pain in my wallet even though as you say I probably am more fortunate than some.

However - you will probably find even at the low end of the income scales a lot of Bulls fans will be spending much more than £150 on their Sky packages and mobiles - guess because many are monthly packages they don't see or appriciate the annual cost. But the Bulls are competing for peoples cash, whatever their circumstances - so the challenge is to "create" an experience which seems to give value for hopefully about 10000 consumers. But I do think getting them in young is important - I was taken by my grandfather to the 1973 final and basically have been hooked ever since.

While I know internet forums are not totally representative of the fan base there are clearly a lot of "professionals" making contributions on RAB - so if you want to bring in an element of social engineering you could increase the roof differential, or as I suggested on another post for the fortunate ones with a bit of extra discretionary spending power sticking a few hundred into Bullbuilder would help the clubs foundations.

You've still got your team and I would expect SL status to be confirmed in the next couple of weeks.

OK will need to get some money in to start the rebuilding process so I can't see there being any big discount on pass sales, otherwise you'll be back to square one in no time.

£180 Standing / £225 Seated would be my guess

Might be a good idea to do a mini pass as well say for the 1st 6 home games at £90

Presume you had a D/D scheme in place in the past so that needs to get put in place asap so that fans who need to, can spread the cost.

Expect you to be fired up on the pitch and the terraces tonight and think you will beat us by 6 - 10 points.

Hope there's a cheap deal on curries, and your new club Anthem? with a couple of word changes its surely got to be "Vindaloo" icon_wink.gif

There's usually an 'early bird' discount to encourage people to put their cash in asap and the stand is 'zoned' so it costs more in the centre than on the edges IIRC £210 - £220 was the price for the black seats in the centre of the stand a couple of years ago, certainly can't see it being any less.

Worth mentioning that a few took out the long term deals under PH's regime - I think 5,10 or 15 year season tickets, don't know how they will fare under the new deal.

Speaking as somebody who took out a 5 year option (the 10/25 options looked too risky) I'm not really expecting anything back from that deal. I'd like to think that anyone who forked out for the 10/25 deals might get some sort of deal though. Perhaps honouring the full term is unlikely though.

IIRC, City had a 25 year deal which went was caught up in a similar fashion and the new regime at VP gave a discount (not sure how much) for the remainder of their deal. I know a number were not totally happy about it. I know some were (talking about City, but guess same applies at Odsal), what shall we say, well heeled enough to stand the loss but a good few had pushed the boat out to buy the tickets, and were not best pleased at all - as you may well imagine.

Surely any club that offers its fans a longer than 1 year ticket deal is basically signalling to the world

[sizeWe are in financial trouble [/size

And surely any fan that would take up such a deal , needs their bumps felt ?

going to look really bad to any creditor who is going to get nowt to then honour long term season tickets.....looks like stuffing 2 fingers up to them and looking yourself. Hope HMRC don't hold grudges don't in anyway put pressure on the DCMS in 2014 to cut the sport england grant to the RFL ....

Why? Tickets were never going to stay at less than £100pp for more than a few years. It cost £1,000 each for the tickets for me and my dad. We knew the risks, I don't know how many took the options up but I think regardless of that some recognition for all fans who gave money (1/2 million) to the club to help save them should strongly considered by OK Bulls ltd.

Really? You'd better have a word with the FA then as Club Wembley tickets surely signal the end of international football.

I can see that would be a good gesture, Liane , but I doubt they have the names etc of all the donors and it would take a fair amount of resource (in staff time) just to try and put it together. Speaking personally, I gave what I gave to help the club, it's gone, my little bit along with all the others helped to keep things running for a while, and who knows, without all the donations we may not have a club right now.

Knowing what I know now I would gladly do the same again, if it became necessary and if circumstances permitted, and at the end of the day it was given without strings, at a time of dire need, and I know that from what is being said about losing future income, it it isn't going to be easy financially over the next few years either, so for me I don't want any of it back in the form of discounts or any other way that would impact on the club going forward.
