Looking at the official twitter and Sadler's, looks like League Express have scooped the club (I doubt they would choose the League Express alone to make the announcement). If so, whilst I welcome the news, I bet the club are slightly annoyed. The total may well have been reached today, but the reason for extending was probably to tip them slightly closer to £1m with a few last minute pledges on Monday night. Now, there won't be anywhere near as many tomorrow. (Not saying it's right or wrong, but it's all part of the plan, surely).

Of course, we haven't a clue what the clubs next move is, or if there is anything "official" in tomorrow's paper, but even if this is another massive cry of "PR disaster", it's probably because League Express want to shift a few more copies - not because of the club themselves.

Just got to collect the pledges now, what happens if people fail to pay up? I would think the club have a percentatge in mind that wont be paid?

I would imagine they have some experience from two season ticket pledges on what the percentages are.

I don't think the club have much option other than to collect the pledges, regardless of whether the total is a bit less or a bit more than £500k.

If they don't collect. then what were the sacrifices of legends such as Peacock. Pryce, Brian Mac for last week?

I think, we have a buyer in place, that wanted £500k of the debt wiping and they would takeover the club. Otherwise i can't see how the hell we would raise the other £500k
