| There used to be a supporters' club (as in not run by the club, but by supporters) for many years before superleague and summer rugby, but it was, in effect, taken over by the 'Bulls' Fan Club', which was set up during the Bullmania era by the marketing dept and then the 'fan club' itself disappeared altogether a few years ago.
The old Supporters' club, which was run by a supporters' committee, used to mainly raise money and had its own player's award night and even ran the coaches to away games, before this was also taken on by the club. The supporters' club would raise money in a similar fashion to the current Bullbuilder set up, though the profits weren't dedicated to one aspect, ie: young players, but were handed over to the club, usually as a cheque, to be used for whatever.
I suspect the rugby club, in retrospect, would have felt the loss of the old supporters' club and will welcome a new one with open arms.

| You might want to take on board the input of those who tried to make a go of BISA, which was itself formed in a time of adversity and with a mission.
In particular, you need people who are prepared to put in a shedload of work, for no personal reward, and yet prepared to be criticised by the fans for what you do and for not doing more. And to be in there for the long term, prepared to make the hard yards on an ongoing basis. Most of what is required is not sexy, interesting, public-facing stuff. It's behind the scenes hard work.
And, if you DO manage to achieve engagement with the club, you may then find that you, too, become party to a few inconvenient truths that you cannot divulge. You need to think carefully how you will handle this sometimes-impossible situation - when you might find yourselves supporting the board, when most fans cannot fathom why you would entertain doing so. And you can't tell them why!
You will likely also find that a hard-pressed club will seek to offload fan-related activities onto you (such as organising away travel or running a fan club), so you need to think if you are really in a position to do this.
And you need to recognise that any club or organisation's membership tends to consist of a large number of people supportive of the aims but who do not (or are not able to) get involved to any degree, and a small number of people who work their nuts off because they passionately believe in what they are trying to do.
Speaking in a personal capacity, as a co-founder of both BISA and later Bullbuilder (which, built on firm foundations, and has been achieving fund-raising and engagement successes as a result), some things to think very carefully about before you start deciding on what you intend to do once this week is over.

| Cheers for taking the time to post that Adey.
Which is why after after great thought and numerous phone calls to various individuals myself, Aaron and Simon Foster agree that with the clubs future still very much in doubt.
We've taken the decision to postpone tonights move to engage with Bradford Bulls supporters in the hope of setting up a Liaison Group.
To proceed with the meeting wouldn't be in best interests of what are trying to achieve.
So wholehearted apologies to anyone who was looking forward to tonight.

| We did feel that with a such short space of time (five days) and the possibility that the club may not exist beyond the weekend, there is little practicality in setting something up now.
HOWEVER, if the club do survive and raise this £500k, it is then we feel setting something up would be hugely beneficial, it gives us time to get the wheels in motion

Who is this Michael Gledhill? He almost sounds respectable.
Supporters club is a great idea and I wouldn't be against getting involved if I can help out in some way.

Hopefully with good news forthcoming coming Saturday we can plan and start the first steps towards a new Bradford Bulls Supporters Liaison Group.

Couldn't have summed it up better Adey.
