Listening to Brian Mac on Radio Leeds last night was quite a moving experience. I went to a sportsman’s lunch last year in York; they got Mac up on stage which he wasn’t expecting. Once he got over the nerves he spoke humbly & warmly. I think he is a fantastic person. Nothing JP does surprises me or fails to impress me.

Brian Mac is a 'natural' for public speaking. I've told the tale many times about how,at Odsal a few years back, he wandered up and down the lines of folk queuing for tickets, basically chatting and telling jokes. He's a very funny bloke and I could imagine him being brilliant on the after-dinner circuit. Not sure what his coaches thought though, as I think he was [iactually[/i supposed to be training at the time.... |
