It was a good game, and well done for bringing a large and vocal contingent, made for a good atmosphere. On the penalty count it was 6-2 in your favour in the first half, probably deserved.

You looked pretty clueless in the second half and never looked like scoring, you need half backs/playmakers.......

That "someone else" could well be Leigh if they continue to try & throw games away.

For the majority of today's game we were [idire[/i & at the very least [i2nd best[/i.
Out attack was lacking the killer instinct [ibarr the last 4 minutes[/i, our defence was shocking, line speed woeful & discipline abysmal, damn, Oldham & Swinton could have given us a serious scare today.

I'm afraid Childs DOES seem to have an influence on games in this way. He did it to us (Leigh) at Featherstone last week. 22-8 up and then we are suddenly down to eleven men. Scores level, within a few minutes. Now maybe the two did deserve yellow carding (querying ref's decision, and attempted trip) yet similar or worse offences (striking and late in with the knees) were met with benevolent smiles to the 'offenders'.

The man does have a major influence in games we have played and does seem to like the home teams. Curiously, we never get him at LSV!

What is clear is that with the appointment of a new coach they need to be given the job of recruitment. Whatever the reasons for the RFL putting the Ferret in position he has clearly shown his inability to pick and recruit the right players. Now that Jimmy has gone we really need a 'Ferret out' campaign.

We did have a scrum half but his girlfriend told him he was off back to Aus.

Just got back from the game. Great little ground and a good away following.

Here's my overriding thought, we simply cannot keep playing people out of position in key roles against quality opposition. We may be able to get away with it against the lower end clubs but we simply are not good enough against the better teams in this league.

I'd like to think that having at least one fit half back could have swayed the result but I'm highly doubtful. We looked so predictable and toothless in attack and that's down to having 2 forwards playing as makeshift half backs. Addy and Hargerty are grafters but they didn't have the skill to cut open the Broncos defence today. Is there nobody in the U19s that we can trial in the halves?! I'm hoping that Green and Ferres can confirm our new coach ASAP so we can begin to identify who is going to fill the void in the halves.

As for the opposition, Elliot Kear was a stand out for the Broncos today. Great support play throughout. The Broncos appear to have coached him how to attack the defensive line too. All he used to do when he played for us was run like a crab.

Seems to be a common tale. people improve drastically once they leave us.

Oh dear it seems we really need to get a new coach in as soon as possible. On the subject of Ferres why did the R L put him in.is it our track record & do they not trust Green. Born and bred at odsal, saw my first game in 1948, and now so disheartened

Oh my Goodness, that makes you older than me !! But, I do echo your sentiments exactly... I watched our win against Penrith and the Grand Final against Wigan recently....and how we seem to have fallen.. Lets hope we do get a good coach soon and sort out all the rot that seems to be undermining the club at the moment..The only way is ..Up. (I hope, sincerely)

On the reverse case, Caro was never given a decent running chance and Thomas, in the threequarters, probably tried too hard and too often tried to go through gaps when he maybe ought to have passed. With no-one organising anything in our ranks, the game was the perfect riposte to anyone who thinks we don't need some halves - and the sooner the better.

I'm not even going to bother to talk to anyone who says we don't need halves anymore, if indeed apart from Ferres there is any such living person, which I seriously doubt. What next - we don't need boots?
