I suppose as Huddersfield have signed Bierley that would make Wood a little superfluous.

we had a dispensation that removed him from quota, presumably due to his age when we signed him. Not sure if dispensation also affected his visa status.

Brierley has been playing at fullback so far.

With Jamie Ellis injured I imagine Wood will be back in the team once he is fit. Jake Connor played at 7 against Hull on Friday so they obviously aren't blessed with options in the halves at the minute.

Unfortunately, being able to impress Jimmy seems to have no bearing on the amount of talent a player has.

It's all very odd with Huddersfield's team selection. They played Brierley at fullback, who's a natural 7. They played Connor at 7, who's a natural centre. Then they played Aaron Murphy at centre, who's a perfectly good fullback.

Perhaps suggests they see Brierley as a long term fullback and are playing him there now so that when Ellis is back, they both play in those positions.
