This is the a system which allowed Wakefield to stop in super league by winning 3 of 26 games against fellow super league teams lets all remember this.

On the plus side, it would probably of been us getting smashed each week if we'd gone up. Brian Smith is right, they're miles behind in trying to recruit quality players and we'd have been in the same boat.

I'd love to have gone up to chance our arm and give it a shot but the system has sone pretty major flaws that don't allow clubs to build gradually.

Silverwood had one of his better games, and seemed to go out of his way to help us.
On the day our players did not deliver. From the start the wakey players seemed to want the win more than we did.
Cant disagree about any of the decisions except one.
With a few minutes left on the clock; we get a penalty 10 out; we're 2 points behind and they're looking tired, so we decide to go for 2 points , eh! what on earth was that about; we get 5 chances to run at them from 10 metres out and possibly get a try - that's 4 points and would have put us in front for the first time in the whole game; but no, we decide to try and kick for a draw!! Bizarre.
Congrats to Wakey, you won it fair and square; and your fans out sung ours; and the majority were well behaved.
A few gobby old men near the pie van complained through every minute of the game that RL would cheat to get Bulls up to SL; well just proves how stupid you sounded when the final hooter went.
Cant see us doing much next season; and Lowes should hand is ticket in and go play at Carnegie; we need a coach who can motivate players EVERY game.

Would you have been complaining about the system if we have gained promotion despite finishing SECOND in the championship. End of day we had full strength, Wakey have been a mess on the field all season as well in the lead up to this game,they had 2 key men sacked and some injuries.

The systems isn't perfect by any stretch. For me increasing the salary cap for the championship clubs and bringing te signing deadline forward would improve our chances. But we took advantage of the signing deadline just as much as Wakey.

Also the salary cap had being mentioned a lot. End of the day we've had a number of players been given no opportunity this year. Davies, Tahraoui, Brook, Walshaw. The list is endless. Yes we had less to spend than others. But Jimy didn't use what we had to good effect and we ended up with an incredibly poor bench because we didn't give others a chance earlier in the year. I doubt Tahraouri Davies and Walshaw would have had as little impact as Crossley Lauaki and JPB today. Yet Jimmy decided who was undroppable and who wasn't getting a crack to impress early on!

I don't believe we will go PT I think that's Jimmy throwing the toys out of the pram. However I think SL clubs will pick some of our star players off. Annoying thing is, if Gaskell O'brien etc go, we've just let 3 young players in Adam Broom Nathan Conroy and Sam Bates go. Feeling very deflated tonight!!

I've said the system has been flawed all year so yeah I would have. What did Bradford and Sheffield do in the middle 8's that Wakefield failed to do.

Feeling very deflated this evening.

Not because of all the stuff about salary cap differences and weighted systems, but because I really felt that we could and would have won today if we'd played to our potential. Wakefield were there for the taking, and we simply didn't play well enough on the day, No point in blaming the ref, the RFL or whoever - on the day we came up short.

And that's the most disappointing aspect - because I doubt we'll get a better cane, Surely Wakefield can't be as bad next year, and there isn't another SL club that looks like dropping to that level anytime soon. Then you've got to factor in moneybags Leigh with their flexible salary cap. What odds would you get right now that next years Million Pounds Game will be Wakefield vs Leigh?

We won't go part-time, but I suspect we'll lose a few key players and part-time in 2017 must be at least a reasonable probability.

Difficult to think anything other than 'we blew our one shot at it'...

All it takes is for us to implode in the 8s one season like Leigh did this time around and this club is f*cked. There's no way we could stay full time in this league with £500k funding or whatever it is Leigh are getting next season.

Let's be honest if we were still in Super League we wouldn't give a rat's about the teams in the Championship. We are in this league through the failure of previous administrations and we stay in this league through the one decision Marc Green got wrong - signing Jimmy Lowes as coach.
