Although our squad is looking depleted, id let him move on - not the type of player we should have if we want to compete.

Must admit it was a strange rumour out of nowhere. Platt had a contract extention and ended the year really well in the . Do we think the Express just made this one up?

express has form for printing stories out of forums as gospel. whilst platt may not be able to hold down a starting place he's shown enough at to be a useful option to have in the squad as cover for FB, and at a push wing imo.

I agree, especially considering how thin the squad is in the backs. We need players in not going out whatever your thoughts on Platt. And Platt had more good moments and games than bad this year IMHO (not perfect by any stretch and he had some shocking moments and games, but nothing equal to the stick he gets), and he was a more than a useful in the last few weeks with hardly any errors but his critics wont want to see that.

his critics are too busy booing him to see anything good he does. How you can boo a player every time he touches the ball is beyond me
