In 22 rounds or whatever it is, all the points will be wiped anyway so as long as we're in the top 4 (preferably top 2) then this game will count for zilch. What DOES matter is whether the players learn some lessons from the mistakes they made on Sunday. Yes the ref made a few howlers that led to tries against but we'd already handed Leigh the initiative by then with some dumb play.
It's clear that games are reffed in a bit different to SL but come the split it will very much be reffed closer to SL standard that perhaps the fans and some players are more use to. Time to look forward to our opening home game on Sunday where another two points are up for grabs.'"
Seconded. Idiots from both sides are boring me with their school yard mud throwing.

You're right I'm sorry. By being so vitriolic and big headed after winning their cup final which is still just one match in the regular season they goaded me into joining in.
Leave them to it and not allow myself to be dragged down to their small time level.

| Hopefully after this weekend when we have both played our 2nd league games of the season, it will all 'die down' till we meet up at Odsal (or in the challenge cup)

Anyway good luck for the rest of the season and look forward to the return fixture.

| Gutted i missed the game it sounded great & as someone pointed out as long as we are in the top 4 the points count for nothing but the welcome to the championship handed out to us by Leigh will prove invaluable i think so everybody should be happy.

A comment that would probably hold more legal clout if you knew how to spell copyright.

Honestly I don't think it would hold that much sway for fans of the lancashire clubs as they already have to pay for extras like trips to Perpignan, Newcastle, World Club Challenge matches and likely play offs.
A challenge cup match at a Cumbrian outpost would be an added expense they can live without.
That's what put me off travelling there the cost and also my one lung means I'm on a mobility scooter which is a nightmare for getting on and off trains. I've have to change at Leeds, manchester and then probably penrith or something to get to Leigh.
I'll be there on Sunday though riding the mobility scooter up Manchester road at 5 miles an hour.
Plus the sort of walk up fans that turned up Sunday but only go to one or two games a year have had their cup final and would probably watch that on TV.

I was there for that match Greg and I agree that the pass was slightly forward and should have been disallowed, however if you think that was 5 metres forward then I wouldn't like you to fit me a carpet.

Not quite true though. The [ipoints[/i will be reset to zero, but the league position those points gave you isn't wiped, it forms the basis of the next set of fixtures. There is a considerable advantage to finishing "top" since for example if Leigh finish top, and we finish second, then in the Super 8s we have to play Leigh away. So it's at least possible that that win will ultimately give Leigh home advantage against us in the Super 8s, plus a theoretically slightly easier set of remaining fixtures.
One interesting argument to me is to first, predict who you think may finish 1,2 3 and 4; then decide from the fixture grid which is the best set of fixtures. For example:
* if you start the Super 8s in position 4, you are Away to 2,3,7 and home to 5,6,8,1 - whereas
* if you start the Super 8s in position 3, you are Away to 1,2,6 and home to 4,5,7,8
If in that scenario Leigh had finished top then I would argue a team would be better off in 4th than third, as then they get to play Leigh as a home fixture. Teams 2 and 3 would both have to visit Leigh.

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.: |
|
| 9th & 10th in Sl get 4 home games, as do 1st & 2nd in championship.
The mix is interesting though from risk/reward.
I would say that finishing top gives you the best chance of getting into the 4/5 playoff. As you play the other 3 champ clubs at home and the 11th place SL team. So lower risk of missing out altogether.
Finishing second, though, you get the 9th, 11th & 12th place SL club at home. But 2 wins from them and you have a riskier chance of finishing top3, and bypassing the 4/5 playoff altogether. although also a higher chance of finishing 6th or lower...
But that'll take care of itself. You can't predict or plan for 2nd in the table. Win as many games as you can then see where you are

OK no worries mate but we will have to agree to disagree as I think with Wigan Warrington and Saints only being up the road no more than 10 miles Wigan only 7 miles away they would travel in numbers, anyway we may never know.
Great following from Bradford mind and we have sold twice as many season tickets this year mate than last so our crowds should be well up this season, good luck mate and look forward to the return fixture and I am sure we will bring a good following to yours.

Unless they downgrade the charge, he can't get a 1 match ban. Minimum for a Grade C charge is 2 matches, so if he's found guilty he'll get at least 2, if he's found innocent he would get none.
