The way I understood it, it was a "this is what we think you're worth, take it or leave it" situation. He chose to pursue other options. Don't blame him, but don't blame the club either. Never pay anyone more than you think they're worth. |

Way I heard it 25k was all we could afford to offer him under the budget we had available. Unlike previous owners current regime are living within there means.

Also, from the T&A
I'd say bring Purtell on for last twenty minutes of first half and see how he feels at half time as to whether he features in second half. Should give team a phsychological boost when he comes on at a time when opposition are tiring a little. If he can continue in second half then its a further boost.
