Bit harsh. He is an acceptable winger for a bottom of the table club. Basic acceptability is not what you want to use a quota spot on so giving him a one year deal last year and asking him to work for his next deal has showed us his flaws and it would appear he has not done enough for us for next year. Fine. Sometimes these things don't work out, move on.
If his attitude in training has been off then it is reasonable to drop him and allow someone else a chance

In my opinion Ah Van has been a decent servent to the club, whilst I agree his ability is not that of a top super league player im sure he will do well with his next club. Agreed that it is time to move on.

We don't want "acceptable"
We don't want "pointless quota signings"
Does nothing for the club, less for the UK game, even less for aspiring juniors and critically is a complete waste of sterling. Too much acceptance of mediocrity in the British psyche.

It's mediocrity which make the world go round mate. Brilliance, being what it is - like few and far between and not always available - is wonderful I have to admit, but the truth is that mediocrity or someone just 'decent' is what you watch whilst waiting for someone brilliant to turn up.
Anyone know what sort of wage bill we'd have for 17 brilliant players and if it would fit under the cap? |
