| I think what Tony Hannan referred to as 'Game changing' was the continued interest from Bradford City/PA. Clever choice of words. Sadler also.

| Quote: Highlander "So, only if Bradford Bulls 2014 Ltd take control, is the 6point penalty confirmed? If someone else takes over then the circumstances for sanctions will be re-assessed? Thats how it's reading to me, from all the various statements that have been made.'"
Which again raises the question about as to why a six point penalty has been imposed now? The RFL are going to look utterly clueless it they end up reducing it after a different bid. Which makes me think they won't, so why would any new investor want to take it on? God only knows.
The whole thing seems to be managed by incompetents.

| The RFL are backtracking big time and this talk about te integrity of the game is a smokescreen.
Previous club managements and RFL collusion and covert financial dealings have meant we the fans, the staff and the players have been sold short.
It's time to stop the bull because you can see straight through it.

| In the T&A:
"...Solly said that a separate group had emerged who wished to remain anonymous.
“There is a confidentiality agreement in place,” said Solly. "
Wonder if this "separate group" appearing is what caused what seems to be a massive change of position by the RFL over the weekend?

| Unfortunately I was away from my desk all Tuesday so missed this latest episode blowing up. As yet I have not had the time or inclination to work out what actually happened, & has happened since. But the bit I caught with the interview with Rimmer on Boots last night seemed to indicate there is definitely a group in the background who seem to be favoured by the RFL.

| In the Yorkshire Post, where Dave Craven seem to be getting better material than our local paper these days, qoting interview with FC[i
“I’m confident we can overcome the points issue with the players we have here,” he said.
“The big thing is the special measures. I think that’s the reason the directors have done what they’ve done.
“If they (RFL) turn us down for bringing in people on loan I could end up with just 18 players.
“Anyone coming in might think they can’t run their own business because of this.
“We’re not going to sign Sonny Bill Williams. I’m talking about young kids, and not to have that facility is madness.
“Why would anyone take a business on in those circumstances when you already have a six-point deduction and are in special measures? How can they improve that?
“It’s tieing your arm behind your back before you even start.”
The RFL insist the special measures are only “temporary” until the club can provide sufficient confidence in its ability to trade, something a new owner presumably would do.
However, Cummins is dismayed that Bradford’s previous regime of Moore et al were not allowed to complete their deal.
“When you look at the process, and how it’s gone on, you do feel let down but there are other things going on,” he said.
“I understand penalties for certain things but, my understanding is, that for a long, long time it was very, very amicable and it looked like it (takeover) was going to happen.”[/i
Nailing HIS colours to the mast pretty clearly? Wghen, in his position, I suspect most folk would be having a real go at the outgoing lot.
Note especially the bit I have highlighted. Funny how so many people are accusing the previous board of running away because of the points deduction, when according to FC it was the (seeming) totally unexpected imposition of continuing special measures that did it?
I'll tell you something: I'd take FC's views, opinions and word over those of pretty well anyone else involved in this scandal.
I'm starting to form a view on what has really happened. Probably best to keep my own counsel, though.

Got to say, that was always my original take on the matter. MM was quoted as saying that the 6 point deduction would virtually guarantee relegation but it was coupled to the special measures that would be the 'guarantee' of the drop.
Unable to make any signings other than short term loan deals, it would only take a few injuries to lead us to be unable to put out any sort of competitive team. In short, no permanent signings, so no Visa's (as mentioned), leaving us no chance basically! Without doubt the 'special measures' was the ball-breaker.

Earlier this month I spoke to someone who works regularly for the Bulls on a contract basis. I was surprised at how optimistic he was (he was extremely pessimistic throughout OK's tenure). He said everything would be fine, the new Directors were brilliant and had the total support of the RFL.

| so what is the RFL's hidden agenda, do they have a new owner lined up who they prefer...???
or did they just assume that there was going to be no actual investment from the new board to run the day to day operation and would not have enough income to last the season out.. as the coffers are empty now and only income would be new sponsors, the reduced central funding and the £300k sweetner (the RFL hinted in their statement that they thought some of this money was going to be used to buy the club from the administrator)
Will anyone ever tell the whole truth..???

| Wonder if there's any significance to Duncan Preston being wheeled out on radio Leeds for an interview this morning?. Certainly suggest who's involved with one of groups interested in taking over.

Congratulations to you and Adey , from the first time I read the articles and statements from MM and latterley FC I realised the implications for the 3 who were attempting to resurrect the Bulls, what would that stigma have done for their personal business creditability? In effect the RFL hierarchy were applying the same principle they said when they came out in the press to say RW was not a fit and proper person! Whether he was or wasn't makes no difference.
But in the position that they and us (Bulls) find ourselves in would you trust them to remove the "special measures" even if the investment was coming from the previous board??? Personally given the appalling record of the people at the hub in the RFL, I wouldn't trust anything anymore.
In finishing just see the actual reason for them walking away, you might say that they did it, to give the club at least a fighting chance to stave off relegation??

"It was at that point the directors were told the Bulls would be placed in ‘special measures’, preventing the club from making any new signings, if Bradford Bulls 2014 had followed through its bid to buy the club."
Unquote:
That's a pretty conclusive statement from the ruling body, is it not?
