In that case, then we are in agreement. I have said myself on here that the disastrous ending to his chairmanship should not stop people recognising the fantastic strides the club took under the much longer period of his chairmanship before then.

| No one on here disputes that under Caisley we had a very successful side. But that success was not maintainable with the amount of money the club was bleeding. Had one of the earlier Odsal redevelopment plans actually come off then this may not have been the case. However, his insistance on an unwinnable p!ssing contest with Hetherington almost left us without a club to follow.

I'm given to understand the urination contest was with Caddick (an unprintable person of the first order) el presidente copped it because he the public face of the Whinos, the Bulls board have always had a good relationship with him and others on their board!
Caisley fell on his sword mainly because, alledgedly he refused to give evidence in the Harris High Court case! Which unofficially as those on this forum know has had a financial consequence, that if it was publically known would make people appreciate Peter Hoods financial accumen in getting the Bulls accounts to the stable level it is now, despite the Teams fall from the Highs to the recent lows and the subsequent fall in attendance!

| Speaking of deals done while Hood's been chairman, when does the big Grattan deal run out?

End of this season, and it won't be renewed. Erm, allegedly.
Hopefully the club has another company lined up to take over though.

I was wondering if that was the case. That deal was a biggie. I hope we can get another of a similar level.

Can I not be the first to say it was a catalogue of errors?

All academic, I'd say?
If we actually get big yellow things starting on an OSV, then there will be no stadium to grant naming rights to anyway - and when there is again, then the stadium will be owned and operated by a stadium operating company and they will presumably receive the naming rights income?
And if yet again we see no big yellow things, then who knows what will happen at the stadium? I guess the question of naming rights will then depend on the question of whither Odsal?

| Would Caisley have been any more popular if he had taken decisive action to cut costs once the Tesco linked redevelopment plan was called in by the planners? If he'd announced that we were staying at VP and cutting back on big name recruitment? We might have avoided the Harris fiasco but other than that would he be any more popular?

I suppose. But if the club are going to be £500k down over the next 4 years then I hope they've got other ideas on how they can make up the shortfall.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't £500k a year. It was £500k overall wasn't it?
Edit.
Quote: Bullseye "£500,000 over the next four years
worth an annual six-figure sum up to 2010'"
It's slightly ambigous wording, but the fact they give two numbers (500k and "a six figure sum"icon_wink.gif suggests it was £500k total.
Regardless, it's still money that isn't coming in any more, but not as much as half a million per annum.

We got another deal with JCT600, a deal with Bradford college and a deal for gameday sandwiches with Subway. Think thats about it.
