Me neither, surely not.

| Teams cutting back on squad spend with promotion off the table?
Has anything been said regarding what happens next year for season end? Is it just a season of fairly meaningless fixtures other than potentially some IMG points for positions?

| Squad player, covers several positions, loves the club and won’t be on much wage wise. He won’t be a marquee signing hopefully a low cost option that allows money to be spent Elsewhere

| He gets through 6 can's of Carling per game. He's more valuable on the terrace putting money into the club

| Hallas certainly gives 100% I'll give him that. As far as him covering other positions is concerned I'm not so sure. He can definitely cover loose forward as backup for a first choice player. For example if Baitieri was injured Hallas could cover. He'd not be anywhere near as good as the first choice but he could do it. He's got experience of playing prop but he's not big or got good enough footwork or he wouldn't have attempted to convert to hooker where his hands are too slow. He'll make for an ok backup 13.
Looking at how we went versus York and the games after Segeyaro was injured we really need a quality 1st choice hooker/dummy half. Also we need a couple of powerful wingers. Blackmore has been really good but he's got back problems that are long standing apparently. Losing Taufua hasn't helped. Losing Wallace will mean we need at least one second row probably two.

Hudds were after him last I read.
Pretty sure it was Aaron Bower who ran the story on his 13 site

Why not go the whole hog and bring back Crossley?
Again.

| Yeah feels like a step backwards signing Hallas. Yes he works hard but surely we're looking at higher levels now. The fact he was signed by a L1 club shows his ability. As Bullseye said, when you look at Baitieri to Hallas, there's no comparison. Inevitably he always ends up at hooker too and look how that turned out.

| Let’s wait and see how the squad ends up, saying Hallas is a direct replacement for Batieri isn’t fair or accurate

| I'm just considering where Hallas might play given he's played prop, hooker and loose forward. Compared with current incumbents in those positions he wouldn't be first choice in any of them so would be backup. He's only really half decent backup at loose forward. We'd have to be desperate to put him at hooker or prop. It sounds harsh as he's a good lad but I'm only being realistic about his playing attributes.
I also fully recognise we aren't made of money so not every signing will be an improvement.

Did anyone else seeing Henderson & Batieri have a deep & meaningful chat on the pitch after the game finished? Quick recruitment sales pitch perhaps?

| Also, with hindsight, im beginning to think that the win at Batley, impressive though it was, came at too high a cost as the loss of Segeyaro has seriously unbalanced our attack.
