| Quote: Highlander "I've thought of another point. The stockcar people are aiming for an Easter opening. Is it purely coincidence that the league season (CC a couple of weeks earlier) now starts Easter as well?'"
TBH I think the stockcar people are delusional that they're going to have any spectators in at Easter, never mind a 'capacity crowd'.

They have limited sales to 2000 tickets due to Covid-19, the government are looking at Tiers again from March. So if Bradford is in Tier 2 they will be alright.

I did post this over 2 weeks ago when the Media were advising the Tier system would return once lockdown ends,
Tiers are returning but on a national scale, I don't think we will see fans in sporting events till May/June.

| Some photos of the work continuing at Odsal on the star trax Facebook page. Barriers fabricated and painted, to be fair they look pretty decent.
Yes I know when York are moving into a superb stadium, it looks pathetic us talking about painted barriers. But we are where we are and it looks like people are working very hard on the stadium to make the best of the situation and at least it gets us back in Bradford.

| I'm not particularly happy playing second fiddle to a sport that has to rip up bits of our pitch, and if I thought we were never going to get a proper place of our own then I'd probably drift away now if I'm honest.

| We'll not get a proper place of our own unless we get stupidly rich new owners. The council are skint and will be for decades to come.

The Bulls are looking into purchasing the sub-lease from the RFL, if it comes off we will be main lease holder and pay the peppercorn rent to RFL, won't be second fiddle to anyone, The Bulls need Stock Cars and Stock Cars need the Bulls.

| If the club gets the lease then it'll have to share the maintenance costs with the stock car bods but without the RFL contribution.
Remember from 1986-1996 the club had all maintenance costs covered by the council and even with that and the contribution from speedway and stock cars they still struggled for money.
The only way out of this is to build a new ground but that's not happening.

That would be for the best. The RFL have been damaged as much as we have by them being our landlords. If we can pay them enough for them to save face and depart that would be best for all involved. Then just the council and the Bulls in the direct freehold/leasehold relationship - see if there is a chance for any investment from any of the prospective owners that the RFL have binned off over the past 8 years. With the stockcars paying a small rental to the Bulls.

| Isn't it the rates that's the biggest outgoing? Owning the long leasehold won't change anything about that.

| I know I'm finding myself becoming a little fixated with the corners of the pitch. But it feels like a visual reminder of how god awful we are as an entity that we have gone back to that farcical situation. I wonder if technology is better to reinstate them in a competent way on game day. Seems to me that Bradford fans have retained their emotional ties to Odsal when mine have long gone. I've said it before I want the club to come out and say what their vision is for where we play. Do they want Odsal as our permanent home? If so what will they do to it to make it fit for this century? And if its a stop-gap what other options are being looked at. It's the almost complete silence from the owners that is peeing me off.

| I can see your concerns. Is there a single stadium in this country that shares football/RU team with a stockcar track? We know what the compromises are - corners, fans being about an additional 12m away from the pitch. Apart from getting some rental money are there any advantages?
In an ideal world the council gives Odsal to the stockcars permanently and Bulls have a purpose built stadium over the road to themselves.
Third option is Horsfall - but again the fans are further away from the pitch, access and parking are poor, would need more stands.
