Just about everyone agrees with you apart from the RFL.

| Club has gone so a new one must be formed going straight into the championship is special treatment points penalty or not. And you would more than likely stay up.
Toronto have had to start in c1 don't see why a new Bradford club should be placed in higher league, at least the rfl are consistently inconsistent lol

How would the new club more than likely stay up?
The club won't exist for at least another fortnight. No players, coaches or staff will be signed until then. The season then starts a fortnight later. The only players left available are those that nobody else wants, as all the ones they do want, have been signed up by that point. So the team is cobbled together from a group of players nobody else thinks is any good, with effectively no pre-season, a club that also have to focus on getting sponsors, kit and all the other stuff that go along with a newly formed club, and they are going to start on -12 to go along with it.
What do you base your "you would more than likely stay up" statement on?
The club would have been better off in Champ 1 on 0 points and a slightly more level playing field. They could at least make an attempt at promotion and being in the Championship in 2018. As it stands, they're going to have no hope whatsoever of avoiding relegation from the Championship and are pretty much guaranteed to be in League 1 in 2018. So how is it special treatment to put the club in a worse situation?

You think so?
We've no chance of staying up pal. Zilch, nada, nix, diddly squat, sweet FA. We are to be the whipping boys of RL to satisfy the RFL's need not to have to give everyone a bye instead.

Just a thought, but say the Bulls didn't form for another season and the RFL gave everyone a bye. What would happen to the extra fixture at the Summer Bash? We play the bulls 3 times so potentially lose the right to fight for 6 points but everyone else only plays you twice. Those 2 points could be crucial come the end of the season.

| I think I'm joining a pretty big queue in saying that I didn't vote as not a Bulls supporter but a clean start is important I think.
If there has to be a penalty to keep things clean for all the other clubs, it should in my opinion be to start them at a lower level, on the same footing as everyone else in that league.
A points deduction doesn't really benefit anyone. It only works if you have the same squad and team, thus penalising against the building of that team against the "rules". If you've had to let the whole team go, you already been set back a level.
I thought the Rangers demotion in Scottish football was over the top but they relegated them to the level they thought appropriate and let them start again. They are now second in the league and giving Celtic a good run for their draw on New Years Eve.
The demotion cost every club money through attendances and sponsorship I'm sure but at least they gave them a way back.
To relegate and do the points deduction simply wastes a year that could have been a building year and demoralises the new club, players and fans.
So, from a Wakefield fan, I hope we are playing against you again soon. (On your way up, not our way down )

If we play you this season, you're getting an easy 2 points out of that fixture. If we'd got out of the administration, you'd have had a fairly easy 2 points. The only difference in giving you a bye there and just letting you have 2 points is that your players get a week's rest instead of running in try after try after try for 80 minutes, and your fans wouldn't have any real reason to go to Blackpool apart from the Fish n Chips and the Rock.

I'm one of the few fans who think we may struggle so those extra 2 points we cant fight for could be crucial.

You'll be fine. You just might struggle vs the SL sides but I hope you don't. I want those privileged SL clubs looking over their shoulders.

Surely now, so soon before the new season starts, the only option the RFL would have if this scenario played out would be to declare all Summer Bash fixtures as Friendlies.
You can't have the other 10 teams having an extra game that contributes to their points tally as that's unfair on Hull KR

Straight away by doing that, you've devalued the whole weekend. Who would go all the way to Blackpool for a friendly?

I totally agree but the only alternative would be to cancel the whole thing. You can't have Hull KR only having 20 competitive fixtures in the season whilst everyone else gets 21

| Just cancel the thing. There's only the HKR fans that would make the place look occupied.
Then give everyone a bye and let us start in championship 1 in 2018 with a proper run up. Then you don't have to go through this charade we're going through now.
If anyone's short of cash then the RFL cover it to all the other clubs. Let's face it the visit of Bradford Northern Unpaid Bills in 2017 won't bring the travelling army it did in 2015 or 2016.

Mate, I've already said elsewhere, the bash is an unaccountable aberration already, it makes no odds whether we turn up or not, KR are going to win anyway, so just gift them the points. Job done.
