Despite my not caring....[?] to beat Fax pretty much does make the rest of the games totally meaningless and that would be better acchieved with match fit blokes, imo. I think for everyone's self respect we need to beat them this time - we've been embarrassed too often by them already to suffer another.

Remember though it does not count if we have half a dozen players missing.

I see your point but I think we have a much better chance of beating Fax with Gaskell playing. Besides that I work in Halifax and can't face the ridicule I would get if we lose again.

I think our players went on holiday about a month back. Not sure why we'd go over the border for our hols, Brid is more than adequate.

Morecambe is much nearer though - you have to consider all sides...

But surely the recent form makes it all the more irritating, since in the event we win, we really can't actually take any satisfaction from "winning" an utterly meaningless fixture in a D-grade competition
