| I didn't ban hi di hi either BTW. Mind you the whining coming from that direction makes me wonder if it wasn't a bad idea

| I like hi-de-hi. He reminds me that I used to have a fantasy threesome of myself, Su Pollard and Ruth Madoc. Lush!
He can be in my gang anytime.

| This is my first post for months. IMO this forum is so quite because there's not much too debate. Gone are the days of McClueless civil war times when we did more arguing between ourselves.

I'm sure that is right. We seem to have more violent agreement on here at the moment than I can remember for a long time.
Maybe even than we had in the very early days around the turn of the century, when those of us who can remember back that far will recall the regular spats with visitors like the Loo Cleaner from Leeds, and Hobson's Knees from that little place up the road.
The volume of posts, on pretty well any forum, always increases exponentially when people are angry and frustrated. For example, you'd see it on here, on the T&A Rantaboard and elsewhere after a bad loss - far more posts than after a win. I think at the moment many, maybe most, people feel the danger has largely passed.
For that time, of course, will tell.

| What this board may lack in quantity, it more than makes up for in quality. As an illustration, just in the past few posts, we have had compassion (Pumpetypump), beautifully understated mockery from Bullseye, bathos from Adey, imaginative (possibly even unique) sexual fantasy and visual imagery which my head really did not need, from north of the border, pithy summation from Red, and Pythonesque allusions all topped by a brilliant, anarchistic, nay, almost Dali-esque use of the quote function by roger dali.
What more could you want?

Ha ha, I remember Luke (under various alias') very well and to be honest I quite liked the guy; he was daft and irreverent but wasn't objectionable or abusive and above all never took anything too seriously. It would be good to see his return - he'd definitely brighten up the forum!
You can keep Mr 'Knees', though..

I had some dealings with our Leeds friend outside of the forums - decent, very smart guy and knew exactly what he was doing with his wind-ups. One of your original and genuine professional master trolls - although troll is hardly a fair description, and your description does him much better justice.
Sadly, professionals like him are very thin on the ground now. Present-day forum trolling seems to be an almost universal unpleasant mixture of nasty little creatures and those that are not wired up right
