| Disappointed doesn't come close. A Bradford lad playing for his home town club. I would have expected more loyalty from him.
What a lovely club Huddersfield are.

| This doesn't surprise me one bit. They pillaged Wakey when they were down and are now doing the same to the Bulls. About right for the team that Also destroyed the sheffield club as well. Surely now the most hated team in superleague.

| Very disappointed in Kopczak, quitting the club before a crucial game!!
But he is replaceable, not athe biggest loss the club is going to have.
In regards to Huddersfield, most of us here don't have the knowledge to know if they have done wrong, that will be for the governing body to decide.

Beer is the root of all my problems, ironically it solves them too Homer
Simpson that is: |

| Quote: M@islebugs "The article specifically refers to the contract being terminated so we'd need to hear from the lawyers to see where the club were on that.
If he wasn't given permission to speak to other clubs then I would have thought there is clearly a case to answer, whatever good that does the Bulls.
And thirdly why apart from money, would he want to sign for a side who have peaked and are going backwards and who play in front nobody?'"
Not only that, if rumours are correct Davy has said he`s not going to put much more money in, seeing their crowds Koppy could be in same position at end of next season unless another sugar daddy appears.

| Very disappointed and if the lawyers agree that what has been done by either Koppy or the other club involved is wrong or a breach of contract then I think they should seek whatever legal avenue they can. It is about time we acted like a business and that is what anyone in charge of a business would do.

| Disgusted with the way he has handled this. Could have waited and done this in a more professional manner. Being a Bradford lad i thought he would have some more respect for the club, especially since we stuck by him in his early years when he could have ended up like Matt James and Steve Crossley.

| As a Cas fan I remember the pain when we lost Andy Lynch, Michael Platt, Ryan Hudson & Wayne Godwin when we got relegated. Clubs secretly courting players is the lowest of the low. A joke & a disgrace.

| Quote: HLL1969 "OK I need some help here. Adey?
As BG was charged with getting the best outcome for the creditos I fully understood, and valued, his stance in refusing offers for our playing staff, even considerable ones such as that for Bateman. I assumed this was to protect the company's assets in the result of making the business a more valuable and attractive proposition for investors.
So, given that the method of transfer to OK appears to have made void all contracts what was the point in turning down income by selling players earlier in the "process?"
I'm utterly bemused by this but wonder if there was a reason why.'"
My assumption was, and remains, that the administrators were prevented from selling players by an edict - sorry, gentlemans' agreement - from the RFL that other clubs would not seek to poach our players. Same way as we were allegedly told to keep our mitts off Rob Purdham when London fell over. And, of course, a player could not leave of his own volition as he was still under contract and the contract had not been breached. (As a side issue, I reckon if your employer becoimes insolvent, you the employee should be allowed to void the contract at your option, but that ain't the law as it stands).
SO the minute the TUPE notice is issued, THEN a player can decline the transfer and resign.
BUT...surely when you resign you have to give notice? And wasn't he under contract to end 2013?
But it would be Bradford Bulls Holdings Ltd that would be obliged to pay him for working his notice. Except the company will be liquidated soon, and the minute liquidators are appointed the contract is voided anyway.
Suspect we are stuck with it. Same as with any others who it transpires do the same.
Doubtless the paperwork will record that the deal was done a matter of nanoseconds AFTER the TUPE notice was received. Remember, players WERE allowed to talk to other clubs about lining up a future IF the Bulls fell over.
And doubtless a certain player will be far from popular round these parts, but no doubt the state of his bank account will help hm bear our discontent with considerable fortitude.
As for Ken Davy, I very much hope he finds he lives in very interesting times. He must be devastated at just how little return and success he has achieved on his many millions poured in, and on just how few of the citizens of the town can be d turning out to watch his bankrolled team. I find I can bear HIS disappointment with equal fortitude.

| On the narrow point of timing, I seem to recall from reports on Rangers that a decision to decline being TUPE'd had to be made within a certain fairly brief period following the offer - 2 weeks possibly.
Mind you, I'm mostly wrong at the moment.

And gale!
Plus all those out of contract.
Sad times but I guess player were sick of the crooked undertones involved in the club, the lies and the game playing. The only reason other contracted players haven't exercised their rights under TUPE is because they woulfnt find a club never mind one which would match the stupidly big bucks they are currently on. I see redundancy is an option for mr khan under tupe legislations- a way off getting the big earners off the pay roll perhaps?????

Whatever, staggeringly poor form. Maybe something had emerged in the dressing room prior to the Hull debacle? Might explain why we didn't look the same team.

| SKY Sports has this from his agent:
"Craig was notified by the joint administrators by letter dated September 3, 2012 that his playing contract had transferred with effect from August 31, 2012 to OK Bulls Ltd," read a statement.
"He then served notice on the administrators that he objects to the transfer of his employment under the relevant TUPE legislation.
"The net effect of having served the notice is that he is deemed to have resigned with effect from August 31, 2012 and his employment with the club is automatically terminated."
