| the fact Nobby may have theoretically been sounded out to work for nowt before Monday and in principle may have agreed to help out if all else failed may have accelerated the decision to make the wholesale cull of the coaching staff

They can seek to defer payment, but with cashflow being the problem, the players are likely to see that as not being paidf and thus they are free to go!'"
Why can't the players give the wages as a donation?

| I didn't like the way noble had been linked to the caisley consortium and that this had been predicted months ago but I feel we need him now
One more here happy to see you at the club, sorry for thinking you could be part of this mess

| I don't think anyone supports the way the staff cuts this week were handled or the timing. Most people understand the severity of the situation and the fact that drastic measures are needed, but having been forced to manage restructuring (closing) sites myself I know the one thing you have to do is keep staff informed of the circumstances as far as possible and man up and see them all face to face.
But if B Noble is prepared to step in and help in this awful situation then all fans should support him. By whom and at what time he was contacted isn't the point - if he is prepared to step in and help get a team on the field then this is a massive contribution to salvaging something from the wreakage. Having come accross Brian several times when he was still a crime prevention officer I always found him open and honest - and even if he couldn't coach (and he can) then these are two qualitites which are definately needed now!
Lets all get behind him

| sacking the staff enables us an extra couple of days to try and find a buyer. Yes its crap, yes we feel for those people, but survival of the club is paramount, and with the type of quality people that we let go, they will understand, even though they will have hoped it wouldnt come to that! heres to s decent crowd on Sunday, that shows potential buyers that we have something worth saving.

| I hope Noble comes on board for Sunday, even if it is just naming the team and making interchanges. I think what is annoying people is not Noble coming in it's they way the administrator is handling things.

| Quote: Ferocious Aardvark "He wasn't asked on Thursday, you muppet, and I make no apologies at all for calling you a muppet, since that is what you are becausecan't have been asked before Monday, since it was not until Monday that Potter refused to work for no pay.
Anyway, he was on a tour of Aus and Fiji last Thursday, and as Guilfoyle can't even operate a voicemail, international calls would clearly be beyond him.
Or maybe the administrator's team includes Mystic Meg, and they thus knew what Potter would say, before they had asked him? If so, then why did they need to ask Noble?'"
I won't lower myself to name calling but at what point does it say Nobby was asked on Monday ? Does he not have a mobile that he can be called on whilst abroad. Do you also not think that BG would have envisaged making staff redundant PRIOR to actually doing it or do you just think he thought " I know, this morning I'm gonna walk in, sack the caches, THEN I might call Brian Noble who MIGHT want to help out !! is it not feasible that he sounded him out before taking a drastic measure???
Look, I know for a fact that this is the case because i heard it from my mate who sees him nearly every day. He told me this on Friday that this was happening.

| Quote: slideby "you dont need to offer an apology, you are simply wrong. he was asked if he would take over for free last THURSDAY which allowed the decisions to be made with potter etc when he indicated he would. That doesnt mean he was offered the role then.
and whos the muppet, when your stating he cant of been??? do you really think that you cant line up a replacement until you have 100% confirmation that the potter has turned it down.
They never thought for a second potter would agree and thats why nobby was approached.
nobby isnt too happy with how its been handled although he is likely to accept the role now and could be announced today.'"
Let's be clear. Noble said he was asked on Monday, which he was. You threw in a bald one-line claim that he was not telling the truthnoble was not asked on monday, he was asked on thursday'"
...thus calling Noble a liar and saying he was asked to do a job before there was a job.
Your claim was not that he had "been lined up", or sounded out or anything less, but that he had been asked on the previous Thursday, and not as he said on the Monday after the sackings.
Now you are backtracking and moving on to whether Noble had been approached, or sounded out, but that is a completely different thing, as well you know. There;s no doubt that the administrator will (obviously) have discussed all sorts of options with all sorts of people. But you are changing the subject. You are just getting your knickers twisted trying to pretend you have an inside line into both the personal discussions of Noble and indeed into the mind of the administrator..
"They never thought for a second Potter would agree" is another such ludicrous claim to insider knowledge. You have no clue what they thought. But even if all that were true, they STILL cannot have asked Nobby to be the unpaid coach before Monday, as until Potter refused and then was 'made redundant' (sic), there was no vacancy.
Quote: slideby "the fact that they were firing mp, his coaching staff, his wife and all the back office staff, all when it is clear it hasnt been done in the most proffessional way was a good reason why he was likely to decline. '"
.. indeed - except you say he had already been asked and had agreed, to take a job which wasn't vacant! Stop being ridiculous. Or are you now claiming that when Noble "was asked on Thursday" to do the coaching job for free, he wasn't told, and didn't ask, just exactly how there would be a vacancy, given his friend MP was the current coach?

Im possible that he didn't - but like your mate, you are now talking about a different thing, there is a mile of difference between being sounded out, and being asked to do the job.
Quote: topbombing "Look, I know for a fact that this is the case because i heard it from my mate ..'"
yes, I'm sure that Noble would share such extremely personal and delicate confidential information casually with "mates" who are such good friends they immediately tittle tattle it all to the likes of you. Now run along.

| Whatever the ins and outs I hope we do have somebody acting as head coach if the game goes on this Sunday. If it's Noble then so be it. It could be a lot worse. Sure the players aren't happy at the moment but nobody is.

| im not backtracking on anything!
BN was asked on Thursday if he would consider taking over the coaching reins on an expenses basis only as they needed to get rid of all coaching staff. He asked that one be kept on and that he would do it as long as the whole thing was handled correctly (as he was mates with Potter).
Noble asked Cummins on Monday if he would stay on. He knew what was happening last week. Noble has never said he only found out on Monday as far as I'm aware.

| Noble has told Bradford to shove it, by all accounts. He was willing to do it for free but can't be bothered with the agro.

| However, you are correct in one thing and that its disrespectful of me to post what he has said to a mutual friend who has passed that info on to me. I just thought that rather than all the guessing games that are floating, some true facts may assist. I have posted sparingly on the whole debacle but my previous posts as soon as the pledges issue came around should confirm that what i have been told is accurate, however, if it be better that people would like to play guessing games then so be it.
I am not childish enough to come on to a forum and simply make things up. Then be abused for providing information that I have 100% no reason to doubt is unfair but I guess i can understand your scepticism as there are a lot of "mates" type stories.
