These two, whilst lacking a bit of knowledge, actually appeared to be watching the match. Not sure what happened to the usual pair, but long may it last!'"
they were very funny shame the coverage kept disappearing

| We dropped too much ball and gave away too many silly penalties to win it so I'll take a draw. Also a massive improvement on the home match. Salford are now our bogey team so it's a point away from home gained for me. I can't see why they shouldn't be further up the table to be honest with Smith, Patten and Holdsworth in the middle I was really impressed with our defence at times to keep them out.
We need Kearney and/or Sammut back fit.
Smart ground, the main stand is impressive from outside, the staff were as firnedly as they were at the willows but the access is terrible. The scrap to get out of the gravel was pretty bad and then the queue from there round the ground to Liverpool Rd and back to the motorway took as long as it took to do the rest of the journey. Also the hot dog I had before kick off was rank. Did anyone else notice the police horses riding round. What a waste of money! Since when have you needed police horses at a Rugby match?
The last game before it came out that we were in immediate financial peril was Salford at home. The last game before the results of the strategic review are announced was Salford away. Weird how things pan out. Just hope it wasn't our last game.

| T&A was fairly damning of Pryce's defensive effort. Did his defensive lapses cancel out his go-forward?

Suppose they're on about the Williams tries? I couldn't tell you whether it was him or whether it was the team not not being able to move across fast enough leaving him in a two on one situation.
There were some absolute moments of brilliance though. A few players made tackle busting charges at the Salford line, L'estrange threw an amazing dummy, the last try was great play from the Pryce interception right through.

Bit harsh but it was the wrong end of the ground for us and the lack of height to the stands doesn't give a great view from the North stand. He certainly saved a certain try with his intercept and superb run from in goal to prevent a drop out. His try from the chip over to score his hat trick was superb handling in the awful conditions.
I thought he had a pretty good game. I'd be more concerned about why we continually gifted Salford good position with silly penalties and poor handling.

How on earth did he get back into play from that position, stood up straight with that many men on him?

He's a big lad who takes a bit of getting going from a standing start and is also slow to turn (think an aircraft carrier vs a jetboat) but then you knew that, as do we all. Against a quick lateral attack he will always struggle to keep abreast of it.
But no, it didn't cancel out his go forward; three tries and a try saving interception in defence would take a lot of cancelling out to be fair.
It was a horrible wet night and both sides were guilty of loads of dropped ball and both sides could have won it, and will probably feel they should have. I thought Silverwood was quite awful as referee. In a game which was pretty tense but with no malice or nastiness in it, he pretty much lost control at times with both sides clearly annoyed at his strange decisions.

Salford seem to be the club defying the 'new ground effect', their support was very poor last night. Crowds were one of their biggest bugbears at the Willows but last night was a poor effort and must be a worry for them.

Mick, did you notice who was in the director's box for the Bulls last night? We were watching from behind the posts and couldn't see that from that distance (or even tell which bit was the director's box!).

Those players bossed us around the field and their defemsive effort was second to none we only scored at the wings through pryce apart from his intercetption break.
One of the horses was in training which was a good idea to send it to a rugby game few thousand people and no trouble compare that to football, which I just don't understand I have been to NFL, ru, rl, and footballmatches and the only trouble I have every seen is at football and I just don't see why each fan is just as emphatic about their team so why do they always have to cause trouble at football.

Unfortunately I was at the Galpharm last night doing some work for Sky, so I missed the trip to Salford.
But I'll certainly ask the people who would know and report back to you.

Fair enough, oresumed it was for dissent as last two times it's been for that

6.8k last night worryingly one of our better attendances the west stand was busier than what it has been all season.
