| Lulia was great in attack and defence today. Same can be said for Bateman. Langley was immense taking the ball in today aswell.

I suspected before the game that we might be lacking a little in direction and unfortunately that proved to be the case. The kick gaming was pretty woeful, I think put either Gale or BJ into tonight's team and we would have beaten that Hull side.'"
Conversely, if we'd have had some of our injured players back, you probably wouldn't have done.

| Kearney def bounced it and did touch it before it went out, should have been a hull tap. The obstruction non-try was at the other end.
Worst decision was giving the 2 points for the missed conversion for hulls first try! Couldnt have had a better view and it went 2/3 foot wide of the post!
Great game and atmosphere, was expecting some stick from Hull fans but they were brilliant, massive respect for them. Hull are now a good team to watch too, very quick and mobile across the field.
25 quid in tho? No wonder Hull arent struggling!!

Who knows, we have a crippling injury list ourselves but that wasn't the point I was making. We just lacked a bit of a kicking game and some direction, BJ or Gale would have provided that.

That point came across in commentary. In fact the one criticism they had was Addy's kicking game was a bit directionless. But that's about experience as much as anything, and he'll be better in the long run for getting game time last night.

It was comfortably a metre wide. The Kearney effort looked a bounce from where I was sat and a tap 20. Lullia's first try was excellent and begged the question of why he never got another pass all half unless he was bringing it out from under the sticks. Time and again Diskin and L'Estrange sent the ball right and even when it came left it came to Langley who took it in. The try came from a great offload from nas and quick wide ball and Lullia and Purtell made the break. There's no point in making scoots from dummy half, catching the defence out if the next play is a drop off to Langley up the middle.
It was agreat efoort but we should have won. Our attacking structure is dreadful. If Bateman is going to stand so close to Lullia the ball needs to come quick and fast. Otherwise he needs to give lullia more space and take the ball moving. The ball from our halves was woeful and Addy's kicking was nothing short of aimless at times. I'm increasingly disappointed in Sammut who has been poor twice on the trot.

Alibert was certainly back to his inconsistent best. The incident where Kearney was taken out close to half time was a clinical professional foul and clearly denied a try scoring opportunity.
No yellow card though.'"
Alibert is a baffoon, the clown has cost us 2pts already (7th tackle try against Warrington). The man is consistanly making wrong calls and failing to count to 6, I'm suprised he is back into SL so soon after being stood down last week. I feel your pain.

Pryce wasn't poor.
For sure he wasn't the standout but his workrate is increasing, both in attack, where he came in to take the ball up the middle, and also in defence where he took the high stuff well and seemed generally more secure with tackling than of late.
Truth is you can always argue that he might have done more, but he did actually little wrong, certainly nothing to say he should be dropped.

| Okay Pryce wasn't poor just too slow, should be getting back for kicks and should never allowed Turner and Briscoe to get him on a 2 on 1.

| Quote: Duckman "Exactly, which was what puzzled us in the main stand, the only explaination I had was that they thought it was already out of play before Kearney touches it after a hull touch...but I doubt that, it was either a try or a Hull restart to me. I was too far away to tell, but it would have gone to the screen had sky been there for sure.
I didn't think pryce was poor fwiw, ran it in ok, didn't make any obvious errors and stopped at least one briscoe try in the second half.'"
Yeah, from my vantage point directly behind the posts, it was a clear knock on - I've seen them given, as they say, but it was never a try and should have been a 20m restart. That second decision being one of a few extraordinary ones from Messr Alibert, last night.

| I was worried about the Lullia/Crookes combo both have looked very good when i have seen them on sky, they should have got more ball. Langley, Kearney and your hookers were great for you, but as you say your halves were poor. With Jefferies things might have been different but we had a lot out too, especially in the front row which is where you had us beaten.

| Tbf what an effort from the lads. Bateman was absolute quality, Langley got through a massive amount of work. And we threw the ball about well.
Lulia, what a hand off
