there's loads left and no queue as of 12:30pm

I'm not intending to say "I told you so", I only posted that there would be no problem at all in anyone who wanted a ticket getting a ticket, because many (too many) years of experience made it bleedin obvious.

On that basis I called in on my way home for lunch at 1pm and was the only person at the counter. Got 2 stand tickets, in out, job done. We still have half our allocation which means on a rough approximation, nearly 2000 or so have gone.

Now to me, that's a great response. I know most season ticket holders won't bebothered with the game, and think 2K for an away CC tie against a lower div club is actually pretty decent going. But given there are loads of tickets left - and given we can have more from Fax if these all go - there really is no issue.

Moral - listen to your local Aardvark more.

our allocation was 30% of 9000, so about 2700. Still going well to shift 1300+ in 1st morning.

Your comment of " my friend says there is only 200 left" could well and truely have prevented somebody going to cllect their tickets, I know I had second thoughts about making the journey (telephones were not being answered).

You "friend" really should find out their facts before spreading absolute tosh around!

I don't mind pointing out that I also stated on here my belief that every season ticket holder who wanted a free ticket, would get one.

Not that it was stopping me going up early and not risking it, but I still think that'll be the case.

First person in queue had been there since 7..i askd him as he came out since i know him..i work nights so got there for 8.15..got tickets home and in bed for 10.30..didnt want to take risk.

They took couple of photos first thing..before there was a masive queue...most people turned up at about 9.15..wind was a bit nippy..but hey ho got them now..
