If Walker is back too then some really tough decisions will have to be made.

Sykes doesn't deserve to be dropped, but if we give him a centre spot, then Walker to SR and Olbison out, who doesn't deserve to be dropped either.

I agree that everyone should have to earn their place, but to beat Saints I think we'll need to see a better kicking game than we did on sunday. If Potter thinks Herbert is up for it then maybe Briggs will miss out.

Interviewed on radio Leeds Mick Potter said Chev Walker could play, but he suggested it may not be a good idea to change a winning team.

As much as good sykes was last weekend, for me he is too inconsistent and if walker is fit walker should play. He has looked solid ever since his injury and against centres like shenton and meli id be far more comfatable with walker and platt marking them. Id defo play briggs as our kicking game has been very poor imo and we cant afford to do that against saints. My team would be:

Kearney
Ainscough
Platt
Walker
Ah Van
Briggs
Herbert
Hargreaves
Diskin
Lynch
Whitehead
Elima
Langley

Bench: Lestrange, Kopzack, Scruton, Royston

With that team, we be pushing to beat them all day long, i would be comfortable with that team and expect a win out of them.

I'd be happy with that. Would be tempted to keep Royston in the centres and have Walker on the bench to come into the second row instead.

IF Walker is fit. I'd be tempted to start with Olbison in the 2nd row. Walker on the bench and rest Whitehead.

Mainly because I think we shouldn't over play the young lads coming in. If there's depth in their position then a week off here and there isn't going to hurt them or the team

Well with many players back from injury, I would opt for this team:

Brett Kearney
Shaun Ainscough
Michael Platt
Shad Royston
Patrick Ah Van
Kyle Briggs
Marc Herbert
Bryn Hargreaves
Matt Diskin
Andy Lynch
Olivier Elima
Elliott Whitehead
Jamie Langley

Subs:

Nick Scruton
Chev Walker
Heath Le'Strange
Craig Kopczak

Also in the 19 man squad:

Tom Olbison
James Donaldson

difficult team selection this week as whichever way we go someones missing out who played well last week/ or leading upto there injury. Nice problem to have for a change though.

Assuming Walker is 100% then I'd have him on bench and rest one of whitehead/olbison to avoid over using them. briggs to come into halves to give us more variety in our kicking game. is really difficult. Sykes did nothing wrong last week but I still worry about his defense when hes out wide. Royston did nothing wrong either. I'd maybe be tempted to give sykes a go this week, given we have walker in squad who could come on if he has a howler defensively and give royston the week off, purely to give a little squad rotation.

we're going to be in situation throughout year where theres not much to choose between players in certain positions and theres arguments for and against which particular one plays each week. How Potter manages it and keeps everyone happy is going to be a big part of his job imo.

Think thats the strongest team, Sykes did play well last week but he has historically struggled to maintain that consistency. Its hard but the above team is the strongest
