Have you ever considered the possiblility that the club were not aware? That Orford didn't tell them the whole truth? He has not come out looking like a paragon of virtue now has he?

It's not confidential that he is a c**k is it? So that can't be the reason.

Even if the club we not aware, which I accept could be the case, do they really think too many people will read the comments of Hood (comments which are practically kissing Orford) and just wipe their hands of it and simply move on as they seem to believe?

No doubt it is the usual "confidentiality clause" that is a poison in sport at the moment. We will find out the truth when Orford has a book to sell I reckon.

Indeed it can't ! And yes, I have a theory. I suspect at least one other person on here does too, since he shared that theory with me a week or two ago. But there is no way I am going to share that theory on a public forum, given the nature of it and the clear sensitivity of the circumstances as is evidenced by what PH and Connor say. Seems to me its time to move on.

If I am on the right lines (and I do not know, I am only making educated deductions) then PH has done the only thing he can do, and said pretty well the only thing he can say. And, don't forget, "strictly confidential" cuts both ways. It seems pretty clear (to me at least) that a Compromise Agreement must have been entered into (Connor hinted at that the other day anyway) and these invariably include confidentiality clauses. Indeed, they can often include the wording that the parties are allowed to use in any public statements. I've drawn up enough of the damn things in my time, and been involved in terminating enough people, to have some understanding of how it works. So anyone berating PH for not disclosing the circumstances is again too far removed from reality, I would suggest.

And I would put money on Toerag having come up with a tale, probably just before the deadline for his return, that changed the nature of the issue. Doubtless something new to the club - it would have to be, when you think about it. Whether that tale held water (or, more to the point, it might to others), and whether in turn that led to the circumstances of his release - well we have to go back to the theories again, I guess. Until the autobiographies come out, anyway.

And you would (in all probability) have the club break an agreement they are likley to have signed, precluding them from so doing?

If it was you that was the subject of a compromise agreement, having sought to break your contract, and you had agreed terms with your employer that if made public could reflect very badly on you, as well as maybe showing that you did rather less well out of it than you would have people believe, and your ex-employer then proceeded to blab those confidential terms all over the media, what action would your lawyer take?

The arrangement may or may not bear any resemblance to that hypothetical scenario I just outlined, but surely it provides an example of why you may not in all fairness be entitled to any further explanation?

In fact, with it being so "hush hush" it suggests to me that one, or both, of the parties have something to hide that with tarnish his/their image.

As I said, wait on Orfords book coming out and we will all find out what.
