Love what you did there, the old "he won't answer but he will" bit. Clever. No, really.
You still looking to see when Greg Eastwood was injured in your continually flawed research?

7741_1339451243.jpg When you're a Bradford fan there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Funny your Twitter posts don't "show up on work computers" and Google does. Great to read about Kerry Katona, Walkers crisps and Bluetooth headsets. All thrilling stuff.
Like I said, do the maths yourself.'"
It wasn't a rhetorical question. The question was "In YOUR opinion, who are these players that YOU have been referring with real talent that BM brought through at London?"
Now, the only real reason I'm getting involved is that it looks to me that you've typed without using your brain and that you don't really have an player to name to back up your argument and as you chose to try and divert away from this by being y to people.

Same here.
Utterly pointless reading anyway so I don't think it will be a big miss!

Bold letters, that makes it all the more salient. Admirable.
Unlike your clear inability to do the analysis yourself.

as far as I can see you dont answer any questions. you put out your own view as if its gospel and when queried or asked to explain any of your points you hide behind the 'do your own research line'. Pretty pathetic trolling attempt as far as I'm concerned.

| Quote: Gurus_Beard "Until you randomly defend a post that has sod all to do with you? Oooook
Or look at the number of reasons I have pointed out in recent weeks. Go back through them if you're that interested.
I don't but thanks for feeling compelled to do so. Accomplished player? That's ok then. Makes him a stand out coach too.
And won?
If only he had some outstanding talent at his disposal like Cunningham, Eastmond, Wellens, Gidley, Peletua, Roby, Pryce.
...is the right answer.
Do you think?
Name them'"
Sod all to do with me? Again, any need to be rude about it? Point out exactly where I defended anyone in this debate. I think you'll find most other posters think Brian Mac will fail at Leeds, where as I do not.
It has everything to do with me as I have a keen interest in Bradford Bulls and rugby league in general so I find the discussion pretty interesting. Didn't know I needed permission to join in certain debates and I am really at a loss to explain why you feel the need to be so hostile. Is it not the point of this message board to provide a forum for discussion and debate?
I have neither the inclination nor the time to go through your previous posts and that is utterly irrelevant to the discussion started here. I'm sure you understood the question I asked was purely rhetorical. I fully understand what McDermott's positive attributes are as I would like to think I'm fairly knowledgeable about the game and take a keen interest in what's going on.
Again, you've knocked back any suggestion Mick Potter could possibly be a good coach while refusing to acknowledge Brain Mac has any faults at all. It really does seem you'll only be satisfied if I back down and agree with you that Potter is garbage and McDermott is outstanding.
If you really want me to pick out negatives re: Brian Mac. He has overseen a gradual slide down the Super League table year on year since his appointment, culminating in this year's 13th-place finish. He has often appeared short of answers and ideas in attempting to deal with a poor run of results and can become prickly or obstructive under pressure. Despite his undoubted success in bringing through young talent he has failed to supplement that home-grown base with the shrewd recruitment of senior talent (albeit operating under financial restrictions). Quite aside from the fact he cannot take all the credit for the advancements made in talent development at Quins bearing in mind the large staff and RFL funds that have been deployed to this end.
That is a harsh examination of McDermott as coach (as there are plenty of positives to balance the negatives) and I am sure you will take great pleasure in pointing out the mitigating circumstances in each case (while failing to do the same for Potter I may add). But since I have not been coached by either of the men under discussion, I can only use the evidence at my disposal. I think both Potter and McDermott are pretty good coaches, you do not. There ends the discussion it seems.

| I'd actually quite like to read a thread on this board nowadays without being barraged with Gurus Beard's mindless and moronic efforts to start an arguement with anyone that posts.

Then ignore them, respond or jog on.
The fact you don't agree with them is irrelevant. I don't require you to validate any views. Particularly given you fail to recognise world class players or otherwise.
And your views on McDermott/McNamara? Since we don't wish to veer off topic obviously.

| I think McDermott is taking over a Leeds side that is very much in transition (whether that's good or bad, remains to be seen). Several mainstays of the side have left both on the pitch and off it (Diskin, Donald, Cummings, Poching), and Leeds will be starting the season without who are commonly regarded as two of their most key players in McGuire and Peacock. I worry for Peacock as to how well he'll come back, if he manages to regain any form at all.
That said, I think it's probably unfair to assume or predict on how well he'll do. I just hope Leeds fans show Brian Mac the patience he deserves.
