You do have the right to say what you want, in a proper manner. Is this a proper manner? In a rally in a town centre? I am sure lots of people hold a lot of views that others might find distasteful. They don't call a rally to announce them.

And why Bradford? Of all places. An interesting choice don't you think? Do they all live here? Do they f...? So why come here?

The EDL are made up of a lot of people with criminal records for violence. Hence why nobody in their right mind would want them in Bradford. The city has enough problems without it kicking off again thanks to a load of out of towners coming here to cause trouble.

These demos are put on by EDL to cause trouble. That's their cause. They want bother. That gives them more publicity.

That's why there is unlikely to be any counter protest too.

The study I cited says the proportion of black, Asian and other ethnic minorities in the country (not just in Bradford) will rise from 8% of the population, as recorded in the 2001 census, to 20% by 2051. If we have a statistician aboard they could probably work out for you on that trend the date when the proportion would exceed 50%.

A rise from 8% to 20% in a mere 50 years seems quite a staggering shift to me, and all I was saying is that something would have to [ichange[/i for Muslims [inot[/i to become the majority. All things remaining equal, it doesn't need a genius to plot a line. I have no clue whether the forecasted growth is linear, but for example it was, then the 50% mark would be reached in 150 years. It would also be very bad news for the country because if my basic arithmetic is correct and using the cited trends as a basis, then the figure would be based on a UK population of something like 120 million.

You might be worried, or paranoid, I'm not. My knowledge of the racial/religious make up of the Midlands is not brilliant, same as yours I would imagine, but there are far more British Asians of Indian origin as a proportion than in Bradford, certainly in Leicester. As far as I am aware I have never had any hassle whatsoever from British Indians, just fractionally less than from other Asians, but a whole lot less than from Anglo-Saxons.

I don't believe i'm paranoid, just realistic. I'm not sure of the statistics around the country you're right but i do know that Islam is probably the biggest developing religion in this country, i just find it concerning.

Maybe its the only growing religion? The others are pretty well all in decline.
