Good news, the excuses had long worn thin. Plus with the contract terminating soon the excuses for retaining were also wearing thin. It was a poisoned chalice to some extent and I do think Steve could be a good assistant coach somewhere but never seemed to have head coach mentality. Pity we're not in a position to announce the sucessor and have to go with Lee. I can't help but think St Hilaire has been coaching for the last 8 weeks anyway.

Players need to give a reaction for the next game though

You may be right, I hope not, but if you are then I guess we wont see them again until we get back to competing for finals (wheather its the same players or not).... as you know players and staff come and go, good times and bad times come and go.....but its still my team I want to support.

And ultimately for me its just about watching Bradford play rugby each week, which is all I'm after (with some entertaining rugby hopefully, preferably from our team rather than the opposition!). I find that a far more enjoyable approach than pinning every hope for every match on the long term prospects or lack of prospects for silverware. Sure have that as the overall aim, always. But I find it far more enjoyable (less depressing?) just to try and watch each match for its own sake first. And so because of that Im really looking forward to the Salford match now to see the reaction and to see us break our losing streak (hopefully )

Not really surprised by the news and I think it's best for both parties, the results are doing nothing for Steve's reputation for England and we're not getting anything in terms of short term results. Lets hope this means we can get some quick wins and put us back on track for the season, although we have the same coaching staff and you'd presume methods.

This would have been good news last year personally, but we already knew he was going and it seems too little too late for this season. I haven't stopped going to the Bulls cause of Macca and don't know anyone who has so can't really comment on if people will come back, but my guess would be they won't until next season depending on next 2 or 3 results and signings..

Least the Board have shown some backbone.

Steve McNamara tried his best but failed, no shame in that!
Hope Hood & Co have learnt lessons from the last two years of his reign and make sure the Club & its supporters never have to endure such a frustrating couple of years again!!

I must admit that I am really sad about this, because I really wanted Steve's tenure with us to end on a high. However, I am really struggling with the fact that the last two games I've watched (live) were Wakefield away and then Quins away - I simply don't believe that the same players turned up to both games!

Something was/is not right in the camp and eight defeats in a row (the last one of which was embarassing, and that's charitable) means the boss man has to leave. I just hope we can kick on from here.
