We have had a harder start than Wigan have had, that is for sure. However, that is not really the point here. Some of the folks on the Wigan board are going on as if you are a re-incarnation of the team of the 80's when, in reality, all you have done is win some very winnable games.
Getting slightly carried away on C&W methinks!

I agree. I thought most of last year that he was seriously overlooked, probably because of the amount of attention given to his brother.

29955.jpg If I'd have wanted glory I would have followed Man Utd.
Football is a game where men spend 90 minutes pretending to be in pain and Rugby League is a game where men spend 80 minutes pretending not to be in pain.

| If ever there was a time for a big effort it's this week, with the Pies on fire and our stuttering start we need insperation from coach and the senior players. I'm hopeful for the win but I won't put the house on it.

I can't see past a tight contest tbh.
We've been very good but we have had 3 favourable home fixtures and if we drop as much ball and give as many daft pens away as we did in the first half at Wire we could be left with a mountain to climb.
I think it'll be a low scoring game tbh.

He had a poor year last year tbh. He was outstanding in the 2nd half of 2008 when is link up with Trent Barrett was a joy to watch.
He looks to be back in that sort of form again but has changed his game. He just looks miles fitter and stronger at the minute and is bumping people off in the tackle for fun and getting through stacks of defensive work. His pace for a backrower is outstanding.

Don't mention our stuttering start. You will be accused of negativity.

I didn't know he had a brother. Who is it?

Logan Tomkins. Plays in Wigan's academy.

Embarassingly so mate. Even I'm cringeing at some of the comments on there. Much as I want my team to do well, I've seen enough of this game over the years to know we are quite some way from being the finished article yet.
I suppose the way people tend to go overboard is just a reflection of modern day society. It's not just a wigan thing, Warrington are just as guilty, as well as supporters of other sports.
Whoever comes out on top on friday will know they have been in a game, thats for sure.

Lol you've had one harder game in Hudds and that’s it.
The Saints game you played is nothing on the level that the Wire game was for us.
Cas-Hull KR - Seeing Hull just beat Cas i'd say they were the better team there.
Salford-Catlans- Not a tough game for both but I’d bet Catalans finish above Salford.
Hudds vs Crusaders-You win that one hands down.
So it’s about the same really apart from one team is 4/4 and the other team has had two spankings……..
No one on Cherry and White thinks we are finished article but after watching them for the past few weeks there certainly has been a marked improvement at Wigan and some of our players –Fielden, Coley, Phelps, Roberts and Pat are bang in form. Whilst I think it’s gonna be a tough game IF we continue to play the way we have we SHOULD win this one as you guys haven’t been setting the world alight this season.

So you are basically agreeing with me that we have had a harder start then?
p.s. we have also had two away games to your one.

I'm not wishing to get involved in this particular argument, but would love to know what you base this particular statement on.
(Especially while taking into account that I highly doubt you actually saw the game, barring the tries on Boots 'n' All)
