Quote: DILLIGAF "Part of the problem with the cheap season tickets is it turns off the "occasional" supporter. I can't afford to go to Bulls and City regularly, so since I prefer my RL, I choose rugby. I do like to go to watch City every now and again though when finances permit, but although the season tickets work out at something like £6 a game (maybe even less), it's £20 for a ticket for a single game.
That much of a difference in price just puts me off as I struggle to justify paying £20 for that as well as the money I spend on Bulls games.
It's swings and roundabouts really, as by having it that way, it puts off the occasional fan, but if it was cheaper for individual games (say a tenner a game), not as many season tickets would be sold as the benefit of that would be lessened.'"
That's absolutely spot on. My Mrs doesn't want to go every week but she used used to go to around seven or eight games a year at Odsal, but since I've had a seat in the stand (it didn't matter on the terraces) she wouldn't be able to sit with me so she only goes to a few away games these days. It's the same if you try to encourage a mate to go.....it's pointless with a season ticket in the stand.
