Good. I hear so much about the quality of the young forwards we have and, IMO, any money we have should be used to improve the backs which are more of a pressing need.

Lynch, Godwin, Le'strange, Scruton, Langley, Hall, Kopczak, Menzies, Donaldson, Nero etc we should be ok in the pack.

Nero is one of our players who will genuinely trouble top 4 teams if given good ball and an able wingman! I'd like him to play inside Halley (who could jink in from FB!) to maximise penetration on the fringes!

If we're gonna credit Macca for bringing some positives to the team keeping Nero in a regular position at centre has been one of his more astute moves!!!

....by some distance. Nero should and will only be moved into second row as a last resort IMO. We badly need him to maintain his form in the with all the other question marks in the backs. Of last seasons 1-7 I'm only really totally happy with Nero and Halley for the medium to long term as starters.

(FWIW I dont think we have any lost causes in the backs but they all need to convince me in some way or other that they can improve or maintain their level.)

I agree that centre is the most important area we need to recruit someone it, although we do not have many good props coming through just yet, so a prop to replace Burgess would also be high on my list of priorites. As it stands we only have Lynch, Scruton, and Kopczak, (Hall?) which is not enough.
