| I fully expect that McNamara will see out his contract unless we have another disastrous first half to the year. With the squad we look likely to have for next year, top 8 has to be an absolute minimum. It should have been the minimum for this year and we have certainly underachieved, I can't see how anyone would or could refute that. I expect crowds will drop again for next year and that has to be a major worry, we simply cannot afford to miss the play offs twice in succession.
He simply has to deliver some consistency next year if he is to stand any chance of a renewal. I just hope he has identified the right players in the right positions to do just that. The lack of rumours of us signing a half back is a worry for me right now though. I've renewed for next year but going into the new season with Sykes/Kearney and Deacon at 7 does not fill me with much hope.  |

Only 1/5 (22%) of fans think he should be here past next season in his current role, and only 1 in 10 (11%) are happy with the job he's doing the others (11%) just accept there's no other options.
So to summarise
Negatives
29% believe he should have been sacked now
14% believe he should be moved to assistant
Middle ground
26% believe he should be allowed to see out his contract
11% believe he is the best option despite not being happy
Positive
11% believe he should be offered a new contract as he's the best thing since sliced bread. |
