Quote Adeybull="Adeybull"Hmm...looks to me like there might be a libelous statement there? Some very unequivocal allegations being made.'"
Adey, haven't we had this discussion before, as we know, no-one is going to pursue anyone for libel on here, because a) To call anything on here libel is a stretch b) proving authorship would be nigh on impossible c) it would cost more than could possibly be gained and d) none of us are rich enough, otherwise I hope we'd be buying in to the Bulls and helping out
Perhaps the title of the thread is also a little overstated - I'm fairly certain all 14000 fans didn't leave early, I didn't for one, and thoroughly enjoyed Elliot's try and the ironic cheers and applause of the Bulls and Wire fans.
Am I annoyed, yes and no, expected it to be honest. We were getting bullied by their forwards ( made worse when Elima got injured) and they have a much better back line with power and pace (we don't - made worse when Ainscough got injured and Walker is a second row not a centre now). They even have two halves who know how to play, can organise and direct their troops, we don't. The ricochets/charge down scores (3 or 4?) were dumb kick plays but were probably part of the game plan given the wind. What annoys me more is the complete lack of options on the last tackle, slow execution of pass plays and our inability to run support (barring Royston who tried hard). We need to invest in the halves if Potter doesn't think Briggs is up to it, Herbert is plainly not good enough and we can't rely solely on kearney to play stand off and fullback simultaneously. We also need more firepower in the forwards - a decent impact prop, Koppy is working hard but not there, and Hargreaves looked intimidated going in to collision all afternoon. Be good to see Scruton and Langley back.
