Against my better judgement, I have purchased tickets for tomorrow. Won't lie, mainly because my lad is a massive fan of Sonic. If it's Nigel waddling around inside the costume though, he isn't going to be impressed. On my part, I'm hoping to see the young halfback get a game.

So if Patten gets a ban and Lilley misses a few games through injury, we might end up playing both academy halves. I agree with the majority, I think Dunning’s strength will be his willingness to use the academy properly, he needs to start playing to his strengths.

Lawford starting

15 minutes gone 6 - 0 to Worky. Unbelievable ! We're giving pens away again, and can't score a try with a number of restarts.

We won. Only played between 45-80minutes and put 48 points on them.

First half - absolutely shocking. Kept giving the ball away, no running, no line speed. But defence was ok I suppose.
Must have got a rocket at half time, different team, Flanagan took control, directed the forwards, who actually ran with some purpose . Difference between night and day.

Some nice tries as well, looking forwards to seeing them on bulls tv

Highlight was definitely the commentary from Mick as someone burst into the commentary box to tell them to turn off the air conditioning unit because it was too effing noisy. Then started to squeal that they'd been assaulted. They sounded deranged.

Not high in quality in either half to be honest, the 1st half was a real bore fest. We got a bit of luck in the 2nd half with one score and Flanagan took things into his own hands for some typical barge over tries. Workington seemed to lose energy and belief and let in some soft tries towards the end.

Thought young Lawford showed glimpses of what he could do and he should be pleased with his debut. Probably being generous by saying there was about half the amount of people watching that was announced. I cannot blame them, I can't say it was great value for money. Can only realistically see us challenging Whitehaven for any points now.
